After much agony, I finally pulled the trigger on a white mini with a green LED. I was debating between the Provari and the sigelei Zmax V5. The primary reason I chose the Provari was for its consistent performance regardless of "battery drop off (?)".

However, I hesitated purchasing one for superficial reasons. The LED screen is outdated (I don't know why this bothers me) and I don't particularly care for the tear drop design. Cost was also an issue, until I realized how much money I saved in six months.

The reason I proceeded with the purchase was because how the company treats their customers, and how well the device holds up over time. I do not want to be chasing every PV hoping it will perform well. I only have the EVOD VV, MVPv2, and a purple smok Mini Zmax. I don't regret anything but the Zmax, and that was a big lesson learned. It was an impulse buy.

So now that I finally bought a Provari they will come out with V3. Just sayin. hehe.

You could have gotten crop circles instead, but that was your choice. "Outdated" LED screen? I take it you don't wear readers yet.

Get off my lawn!

I suggest you read the first few post in the Greeting to Our Newest Members thread.
It may be written in a humorous fashion, but the tips and links are real.

LOL. Actually I had the crop circles in my shopping cart (hmmm never mind) and decided the tear drops were more appropriate since that's what my bank account is doing. The crop circles would look pretty cool with an Alilen carto tank though. Hmmm .... maybe next time.

Trust us Moonswanni, you won't miss VW.

Yeah. I started on a VV twist and then went VW, so going back to VV is not going to be a huge issue. It would have been nice, but my priority is performance when the battery starts draining. I'm finding myself charging batteries at the 1/2 mark on my mini ZMAX, and on a 18350 battery that's frequent.

Congrats! I think you will be more than happy with your purchase. Those tears will turn into tears of joy & your bank account will thank you when you're not replacing device after device:D but you may find that you just have to have another...ya know just as a backup hehehe

Thanks much. That is what I was thinking in the back of mind (a scary place indeed). In the long run, this will save me money. There are not many options for VV PV's (yeah yeah I know all you old timers) and I have no interest in the mechanical route.

But don't encourage me, I'm already thinking "the baby" needs a mommy.

Well, I don't think they'll come out with a VW soon... why should they? And I haven't seen anyone say that the VW is anything but delicate... can't drop them on the ground regularly. Which would mean that unless Provape decided to hugely increase their repair dept, they wouldn't want to do it at all.

The LED on the Provari is GREAT!!! You'll see:).

And then the baby will need a dad & brothers & sisters:lol::lol:
I have a few mechanicals & I really like them. I was told that they might ruin me & make me fall outta love with my Provari's but for me that hasn't been the case. I like them well enough to use nearly everyday. Especially for my RDA's that I like to build on but I still use a Provari to test them & make sure it's a safe build. Another great thing about the Provari...if it isn't a good build it won't fire. Can't wait to see what you think of yours when it arrives.

Oh & who you callin old:laugh:

Congrats, just ordered myself a zombie Apocalypse Provari. So cant wait for it to be in my hands on Monday. For me it was the build quality that got me to buy one. My zmax has a cracked screen, and the telescopic threading is junk. So is the 510 connection on top its sloppy at best with anything I put on it.

The screen feels outdated for me also, but I think one reason they stay with it is because its probably quite a bit more reliable. My zmax already does funky things on the oled screen, its also started to misfire recently or well not fire at all, button push and nothing, no screen no vape. zero zilch.

Im apparently a clumsy one also, and I have heard provari's falling off roofs, run over by cars and you brush them off and vape on. So cant wait for mine.

Hope you enjoy yours, vape on!! :)

Op, what did you regret about getting a zmax v5?

Heh... I have the same question... think Eda and I are both in the Sigelei ZMax coop:). No getting out of it now tho, we've been paid up for a bit now.

I signed up before I got the Sigelei Iching... dead on arrival and the thing looks brand new (from a trade, who swore it was working fine when he shipped it - no biggie, it was a bonus thing). That's not a good sign for the ZMax either (can die in well padded shipping).

That aspect is solid.
You literally cannot tell your battery is anything but fully charged until about 3 puffs before the blinky light (low battery warning).

He said a SMOK ZMax.
The Sigelei has a MUCH better reputation...

It's been outdated for decades. They picked it because it will last for decades. It does remind me of a seventies calculator screen though. I'm actually surprised they found someone that still makes those LEDs.

I can't tell until the ProVari shuts down. The last puff is as good as the first.
