V4L cartomizer flavors taste bad

Got my new VaporKing batteries and V4L juices in on Friday (2 batts for me and 2 for the wifey)... Gotta say, not all that happy with the flavors... They all smell horrible and taste kinda perfumey. Have tried a friends vaporizer before and loved it... These flavors are horrible. Tried some of the wife's flavors and didn't care for those either. Anyone else have this experience with cartomizers from this company?

I find that most prefilled cartomizers taste nasty, I've had one or two menthols that were just ok. Buying blanks and filling them is far better.

Some times the flavors need a little time to settle in. If you got fresh juice and freshly filled cartomizers, the flavor might improve over time. That being said, it is not easy to find flavors you love. You might consider getting more juice from different suppliers until you find one you like. Different suppliers have different ways of making the e-liquid, and I will definitely say that I have found some suppliers whose liquids all taste bad to me. I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Don't give up!

I actually like their prefilled Cowboy Menthols alot. It was 18mg coolcart cartos. What prefilled juices did you get?

I am also not happy with my prefilled Premium Menthol carts from my V4L KR808 Kit. I've already ordered from FSUSA ( FreedomSmokeUSA ) juices after reading some posts regarding that supplier.

Let's just say that after 3-4 days, I gave in to my Marlboro Smooth Analogs... thanks to those V4L prefilled carts.. May just be all pefilled carts period. Figured going straight to buying juices to fill my own carts would be my best option

There are a couple that I really liked but mostly the prefilled carts didn't make me go YUM! I went to the suppliers forums and started reading them and making note of the flavors that people really praised from each vendor then ordered juice from a few of them to try. I just received my first order of juice yesterday from Backwoods Brew and it made me go YUM!! Now I'm excited to get the rest of them I've ordered and try them. I've never tried prefilled carts from anyone but V4L so I don't know if all prefilled are lacking in flavor or its their particular carts.

Your best bet is to try ordering from several different vendors. Get several small sizes from each until you find ones you really like. You can also try the buy/sell/trade forum here.

Amen to that, I bought 3 different 5 packs of pre-filled cartos and they were horible, not sure about how long they have been around but they were chineese and did not have a Born on date. ;-) Just get some empty cartos, good juice and "roll your own"

Thanks for all the advice, I'm going to try ordering a few different ones today... maybe V4L can replace all the cartomizers that wont thread with some blanks. lol. I doubt they will...

Mine:
18mg Clove (smells and tastes nothing like clove analogs)
18mg Coffee Sampler (none will thread on any of our 4 batteries... yay)
18mg Cappuccino (highly rated by others... not by me)

Wife:
18mg Mango (wife likes)
18mg Wowboy (probably the closest thing we got to me actually liking)
18mg Pear (tastes HORRIBLE)

So what do you guys recommend... Can I clean out my current cartomizers to refill with juice? Or would that distort the flavor of juice? Or should I order blanks from V4L (or what other companies cartridges will work)? Help me like this, guys! lol

You might try these Wicked Vapor Juices, they are not highy rated, but I think they are the closest thing to an analog your going to find. IMO

I think the simple reality is that the vast majority are not going to like the taste of pre-filled. I heard a lot about SS carto's tasting the best. They taste about the same (to me) as other pre-filled.

I still have not figured out why pre-filled taste bad...Doesn't make a lot of sense. They should taste the same as putting juice in them, seems to me.

I found starting out (still consider myself kinda noob) that simple flavors were
the best, cinnamon, vanilla, coffee, etc... The coffee flavors I've found take
a bit of time to "steep" and then taste better. The juice is FAR better than any
pre-filled I ever tasted, but I use carts and atty which is easier to clean the old
flavors out and change. 3ml samplers are a great way to try a flavors 'till you
find what you like, may be different than your wife or recommendations. YMMV

There's a bunch of threads about cleaning cartos in the forum, which sounds like
your best bet for Pear!!

Yes you clean out old juice and fill with new ones. There are many methods on this forum..look around.
If you don't like V4L juice, you can buy from other vendors and buy blank cartos, you will need more blank ones.
I personally buy juices from Blackwoods brew, FreedomsmokeUSa, Vapor bomb, and Ms. T bakery.
My tobacco favs: Wyatt Earp, RY5, Applewood
Fruit favs: Strawberry banana, Peach
Another refreshing taste I like Hypnotic Mist (don't know how to explain this flavor ..it's just good)

As far as Marl Mild 72, i would pick 12-18mg juices. Maybe one small bottle 24mg, just in case.

Just read this thread a bit late but I got about 3 or 4 packs of pre filled from V4L and they either didnt work or produced little to no vapor and they all tsted terrible. I mean...really bad. Tasted like wax and perfume with something else i can put my finger on. I dont know what happened there.I can see one or two being bad, but all of them were bad. I was soooo dissapointed.
They, thankfully told me they would replace them free of cost, but Im just worried Ill get another bad batch.

They sent me a video of how to raise the contact between the cart and battery. I tried that and got some vapor out of the coffee one but really...such a bad vape compared to my pre filled Smokeless image cartos.

I love V4L juices a lot, but I will never buy cartomizers from them again.

Hrm, well, wow.... I'm a total newb but have been on V4L for nearly a week. I used to smoke 0.5 to 1 pack of camels per day, and now I'm down to less than 5. I got 2 diff carto flavors: Cowboy/TrueTobacco and Wowbacco. Neither are like Camels, but I'm learning that a true analog to analogs is not possible. That said, I've grown accustomed to both flavors and enjoy them (apparently) better than Camels. Being able to vape in the house with the wife around helps (vs going outside for the lonely cancer-stick). Anyway, V4L carto's are all I know, you may grow more accustomed as I have. I have another order on its way with a wide variety of coffee-related and "baked goods". I may like them even more.
