NM, It was actually Hulk that started it I think in December...it didnt get much interest at first, but I revisited it a few times and decided to give it a shot, what was the worse that could happen -- I waste $65 on another failed attempt as putting down analogs for good?? Worth a shot. Once I posted that they were actually working and pretty awesome, and EG jumped on board, it really took off.

No need to thank me, you read the posts and made the decision for yourself....Im just glad I was able to help some people by maybe giving them the nudge they needed and by letting them know these things are legit. Clicking the "SUBMIT ORDER" button on the V4L site was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Ive also converted a couple of people in my life...my girlfriend was on board when she took her first drag off of my first e-cig, and our neighbor, in her 60's and a 2 pack a day smoker, followed a week later (shes still smoking SOME analogs, but probably about 20% of what she was before, so thats definitely a positive, and shes on her way. )

vape on, folks...we're just gettin started :)

On the one hand, I don't like going "backwards" on nicotine dosage, but I rationalize that it's still just about staying off the analogs now, there is plenty of time to cut back on my vaping N dosage.

I like you smoked about 2 packs a day. I started with 24mg too and that just didn't cut it. So now I just vape 36mg. As far as cutting back, you know Im not sure. Nicotine is not really the big problem in Cigarettes anyway its all the other junk. Nicotine is really no worse then Caffeine and man I would go nuts without caffeine :) Besides if you read the body absorbtion rates from e-cigs its only about 10% so really 36mg is not that big of a deal. I have myself no plans of going down. 36mg works, I don't smoke any analogs and I feel better. So that for me is good enough.

Auto vs. Manual is another question we get all the time. Between that and the nicotine question, they are almost impossible to answer because everyone has different preferences and tolerances. You really do need to try different stuff to see what works (I know that sounds like a sales pitch)

Maybe an ideal Starter Kit would come with one auto, one manual, and a set range of nic levels? You could choose a "Light" range, let's say, and get 0, 4, and 8mg samples.

We've actually already started talking about being able to choose the two batteries separately in the starter kits. The varying nic levels is trickier. I'm not saying impossible, but it's not something that will happen any time soon.

I totally agree that choosing the right nic level is tricky! I ordered a ton of 8mg with my first kit/order. I thought being a menthol light smoker, that 8mg would be fine....I was wrong. I do 24mg in the morning and 18mg the rest of the day. I think my favorite part of vaping is knowing I don't smell so nasty anymore! A lady cut my hair the other day and I had to ask her to wash her hands because all I could smell was nasty cig smell. I think she was offended, but then I showed her my e-cig ;) Gave her a card and she seemed VERY excited.

I'm with you there, I have some 8mg cartos that I will never use. It might be a real pain in the neck to do at V4L's end, but an "N" sampler would be great for a newbie. 0mg, 8mg, 18mg, 24mg and a 36mg all in the same flavor. I would imagine the number of flavors for such a sampler would have to be very limited. That would be fine. I'm sure the V4L folks could figure out say, what 3 flavors are most often ordered with starter kits.

So many people that try vaping give up, not enough TH, whatever, right off the bat. Us smokers aren't the patient type. That way any newbie would know in very short order where their sweet spot is. I know tastes can change, I'm pretty much at 36's now, and at first 18's seemed like they were good enough. Then I had a couple 24's for when I was jonesin. Then I went to 24's. Now I want 36's! And I only vaped for the first time like 12 days ago!

In fact I will likely use whatever 18mg juice I have left to cut with some 36. 18 just isn't enough for me. Of course, I was pushing 3 PAD's.

Think that Steve & the gang are trying to keep the cost reasonable and the warehouse streamlined. The array of choices for kits, batteries and flavors is nearly overwhelming for new people. You always start off wanting an exact replica of a cigarette, but don't want to spend too much. If you don't try new flavors & nic levels then you probably don't really want to quit cigarettes anyway. I didn't want to "spend too much" in the beginning, but would spend $15 for a pack of cigs. If you'd have told me I'd be puffing on those stupid fruit flavors I'd have told you that you were full of it!

Perhaps they could do a 'Light Nic' at 0mg, 4mg, 8mg and 'Full Nic' at 11mg, 18mg, and 24mg in just 3 flavors...some coffee flavor, some menthol flavor, some regular tobacco flavor. It might be tricky , but maybe worth it if is just automatically came with a kit they already have going. I for one would have bought it just to save money during that time when I 'knew' that 8mg would be fine:confused:

Would have been nice to get all 3 flavors in the full or light nic levels so I could order more supplies even faster:facepalm: ....OK let's face it, I need no help spending money on vaping:blush:

Sometimes good ideas just aren't very practical, and that may be the case with this idea. Aside from that, it might even be counterproductive for sales. Not that V4L would do it on purpose, but people do buy stuff that they find they don't like or can't use. From a purely business point of view, more time, another operation, and maybe some slight decrease in sales. That's a lot to ask for.

Very true and if I was in that position, I would not do it if it would be counterproductive of course. They do so much variety already and they really are helpful in giving you a good idea of where to start...they are an amazing group for sure!! V4L

Well, well... Wingnut and NoMatches. I know you guys. Again, I want to thank you both for your contributions in the FBG thread that at first got me interested in this and then made me a vaper.

It may seem an overstatement, especially after only 9 days, but these things have changed my life... for the better of course. I got my V4L kit on your recommendations and have been totally pleased. My wife got hers Thursday and is going strong with it. I truly believe our days with nasty analogs are over for good.

I'd also like to thank the V4L folks for fantastic customer service. On my original order the button on one of my manual batteries wouldn't push in. I had a new one 3 days later.

Overall, it's just been a fantastic experience and one which will last a long, long time...
