Instead of a credit account, what about a pre-paid account? You have a week with a lot of overtime, you stick some money into your V4L account for a rainy day. Use that to draw off of instead of getting into debt over something that is in all ways not a necessity of life. Also, with money in an account, the people at V4L could use it to improve and expedite new ideas and products which would be a way to pay them back for all the freebies and the discounts they give us each and every time we order.

I have to admit that I am on the side of those who aren't really convinced a 'credit' card of some sort would be a good idea. Just too darn easy to get away from a person and then there is always poop that happens in a persons life that can really screw up one's best intentions. With all the freebies that V4L throw into every order, their outstanding customer service and in-house warranty ... well ... I'm not sure anything else is necessary. But I really like that idea of the gift certificate thing for those times when you have some spare cash but aren't quite ready to order yet. Great idea! We always think of using them for others but it could also be a great way to build up a stash for a time when you really need to order but the car needed brakes, the dog had to go to the vet or a zillion other things.
