Let me start off by saying that I love V4L, they are the only 808 batteries I own, and I own several. 5 pen-styles and three 808-ego types.

My mom (a year-long V4L lover and until recently her exclusive brand) recently got a Dial-A-Volt because she loves the Vision Spinner and wants an 808-style. When it's working it's amazing!

But it lasts about eight hours for her... and takes sixteen to charge. That's half the time. It's eating up a charger most of the day taking away her ability to charge her other batteries (which she has to do pretty often because she uses mostly pen-styles).

It's the only V4L product she's ever not been fully satisfied with and we're considering returning it. But before we do, we want to know if anyone has any ideas on how to rectify this issue. Maybe there's a better charger on the market? Or anything we can do.

Thank you for your time.

Cheers - Ben.

Ben, thanks for reaching out to us.

I am sorry to hear about the long charge times. For new batteries, it may take a few charge cycles to get down to a normal charging time. The Li Ion batteries all do this. I'll link you to this thread where Morandir835 explains it a little better.

The DAVs have a 1-year warranty and if your charge times don't go down after a few more charge cycles, I will replace the battery or honor your return, whichever you think suits your mother the best :).

+1 to what Bham said. The charging times do seem to get better over time.

Thanks! We'll give it some more time and see how it goes!

24kben sir one other thing that might help is to tell her not to completely drain the battery either....

We'll keep that in mind, It's hard to convince her not to but I'll try, thanks!
