For the most part, my husband and I love all that V4L has to offer and customer service has been really great. However, I am getting really tired of having to send emails to customer service because of problems with our orders. Every order we have placed, there has been something wrong. Either it's bad product or wrong product. I am not sure if we have just been unfortunate with the products we have received or what.

With our most recent order, we received a box of bad Peach carts (yet to be told to CS). Smelled bad and tasted burnt/bad. Last order, both boxes of Blank WOW Cartomizers were bad (or so it seemed). All of the carts in my box were horrible and a few of the carts in my husbands box were bad. No matter what kind of liquid I put in my WOW blank carts (Peach, Cherry Jubilee, Cherry Cordial), they all tasted the same and it wasn't good! In our most recent shipment, I was sent 2 replacement boxes of WOW blank carts (one box of the sampler 2 and one box of purple). Now, I am wondering if we just have bad juice because I can't believe that I would receive that many bad blank carts. The WOW Cherry Cordial tastes like it is supposed to, but the Peach and Cherry Jubilee is horrible. I don't even know how to describe how they taste, it's that bad. The bottles are the older bottles and are marked with an expiration of 2012. However, I believe they are bad juices! In another previous order, I received a box of bad Raspberry Cobbler and a DOA Auto Shorty Battery (all replaced by V4L). I have seriously received bad product in every order, and V4L CS has replaced all of them.
Then there are a few of our batteries that malfunction. We have 2 Platinum Auto Short batteries and 1 Black Auto Short Battery that must be part of the older stock (unless V4L is still having this same problem with the short batteries). We found that they only worked with certain carts! Then I did a search on it and found a video on YouTube by Leaford that explained the problem and how to temporarily fix them to work how they are supposed to work. YouTube - How to fix the V4L 65mm "Shortie" Battery
Thing is, why should I have to mess with the center post of the batteries every time I change carts! Then, the new batteries with the smaller hole in the center post, will not work with CoolCarts! You can't even screw on a Coolcart to these new shorty batteries.

Customer service has been phenomenal in fixing/replacing these products, but I hate to have/receive something wrong in every order placed and have to report it to CS all the time. I only hope that everything will get better and I won't have to send anymore emails to customer service! :)

Just wondering if anyone else has had this much bad luck with their orders?

(For the record, I know how to fill Blank carts and how much juice to put in them. I have learned from the best!! :) )

I've been quite unlucky as well.

For the amount of incorrect orders and the cost involved in fixing up and reshipping the missing items, surely they can hire a QC person to check each order and each hardware item before it's shipped.

If a QC person is a no go, perhaps they could introduce a Barcode system, where the software checks the scanned items against the order, and red flags the incorrect ones.

The last 30 days we have been checking every order to ensure accuracy. In those 30 days our error rate has dropped to less than 1/2 of 1% of all the orders that we process. As far as quality control goes, we check the batteries to see if they light up. much more than that would slow down the orders being processed immensely. We are working with our manufacturers to improve the quality of the batteries. We really are trying to make everything as perfect as possible. Until that number is 100% you can visit support.vapor4life and we will take care of you 100% of the time.

  • Since July I have ordered $600 worth of V4L items. I had 2 out of 8 batteries with problems and they were replaced ASAP. Other than that I have had to adjust center posts a lot (no big deal, I use the same tool that I use to pry off the caps) and sand down 1 battery's threads so cartos would screw all the way in. Oh and a few labels block the air holes. All in all I am satisfied and I like the changes I see in the products; better rubber caps, Coolcarts superseding the older hot short ones, great new WOW flavors, etc.
  • I get juices from several different vendors, but those juices from V4L have all been fine for me. Most noteworthy are the WOW Kamel, WOW Sour Cherry, WOW Chocolate and the SMILIN menthol.

I, personally, am very glad to see this ... although I have to admit that I fell into the .5% just this week.

Support was quick to respond and reassure that the correct product would be sent, but there was absolutely no acknowledgment of the recent issues which I had gone to lengths to describe in my communication with them. No sorry for your trouble, no sorry for the mistake, no we're aware of and seriously working on the problem. :?: I was a bit disappointed to say the least considering the amount of money that I spend on V4L products.

I was commenting as to the increase in the frequency of errors on product shipment, which has gotten worse lately ... and for clarity my current issue is supposed to be resolved but has not yet had time to actually achieve that. The frequency of these type of errors is exactly the topic of this thread, correct?

Frankly my main complaint was the lack of acknowledgment by support in private communication regarding this very matter. It's great to see Chad here stating that they are aware of and attempting to address the matter, but it would also have been appreciated to have that acknowledged in response to my email. That is a slip in the customer support that I have become accustomed to with V4L ... and worthy of bringing to their attention as well.

I have used only V4L products for many, many months now and intend to continue to do so. Pointing out to a business an error on their part is not, to me, complaining in the derogatory tone that I sense in your post.

Jan

i too, have only used their products and do not wish to or plan to switch (at least juice wise) (i may have to get a mod battery because of all the problems i have had with V4L bats) so i 100% stand by all juice i have tried from V4L including ( kamel, 555, sour green apple, blueberry cobbler, watermelon, peach and peach cobbler, kiwi apple strawberry, vanilla) i have only tired a few that i didnt like and you know what i wouldnt have ordered them anyways, they are my girlfriends and we have very different taiste buds, however she really like all the coffie and chocolate versions she has tried, they just arnt for me, i just feel that the batteries and chargers do have some fine tuning that still needs to be done and some quality control over items being shipped inturn costing the costomer less and inturn probably spending that saved money with V4L and not on return postage

Wow! I'm really surprised that so many people are having battery issues. Maybe I'm really lucky, but I have been ordering batteries from them (exclusively) for the last 16 months and have only had an issue with one and that was a auto shorty I got as a "freebie", when they first came out. I will admit that some seem to work a little better than others but I have never had to do ANYTHING to "fix" them. I continue to SMILE:)

I know that you guys are working on getting the batteries right, but how is it that I have received 2 of the new shorty batteries and the other 4 auto shorty's are the older/original shorty battery? Also, is there anything being done with juices and carts? The majority of our issues stem from receiving bad carts, and now most recently, bad juice? Thanks Chad.

I've been consistent in getting what's requested, though have run into some bad batts -- V4L does seem to be good on replacing defective items, and QC issues pop up with all vendors (OEM's come out with a bad batch of batteries).

Looks like V4L has tightened up CS -- latest request for support got a really nice, professional, response. Looking forward to the follow-up.

Good work, folks!

I'd have to say that compared to the 4 or 5 other companies I've dealt with in the past, V4L is well ahead of the curve in fixing problems and addressing concerns. I've ordered around 10-12 batteries from them and had just one that failed after a day or two which was promptly replaced (am I supposed to send the bad one back? It's still sitting in a drawer.) Of all the boxes of carts I've ordered, I've had just two carts that turned out to be bad. The only problem I've had with any regularity are a few boxes of pre-filled ones that were pretty dry (and one of those was an old-style VG banana one). I've noticed on my last order that the soft caps now have a little lip on them to prevent leakage, and that all the pre-filled ones were now sealed in plastic which should help prevent any drying up of the carts while they're sitting on a shelf or during shipping.

As far as I'm concerned, I have yet to see a company that takes their QA and willingness to promptly address issues more seriously. Kudos, Smilin' crew!

Just wondering why you have to be a total jerk to folks stating they had issues here? It is bad enough they have to deal with not getting the product they paid there hard earned monies for but, to get attacked by you even makes it worse. Are you looking to get a negative response back from them, so you can get them banned? If I were you I would just enjoy your stuff from V4L and quit trying to hurt people.

Yeah, I've received a couple of bum batts during the past year. My hundreds of cartos have been surprisingly solid (just a few clunkers here and there), but devices with mechanical and electrical components are bound to have an issue occasionally. The batt failure rate for me has been about 10%--roughly 2 out of my 20 man batts had bad switches. V4L replaced them during my subsequent orders, no questions asked.

What surprises me, actually, it that my batts continue to work so well after many months of use. Didn't expect that.
