It should last well beyond 5-10 minutes. More like 2-3 hrs. Contact V4L customer service, they will help you.
Thanks very much. I was hoping someone could confirm that for me.
All i've had to compare it to is an npro duo which i can use all day and night and charge over night for another days vaping.
The battery is only about 3mm longer on the npro, so i thought it was a good comparison.

V4L customer service have been contacted and they are sending out a new kit and battery to me, which i really am pleased about. As i can't say i'm unhappy with the product, it gives a lot of vapour and really looks nice. So hopefully i'll get better luck with the new pcc and shorty mini battery when they arrive.
I've read nothing but good things about V4L, that's why i changed over to them. The npro is far too overpriced i think. Specially the carto's.

I'll be glad when i get one of the usb pass throughs too, so i don't use my batteries up when i'm at my computer in the office and home. hehe.

i'm curious. You say you "started" with V4L. Implying you've now gone over to another product? What do you use now and why the switch? As you can tell, i'm new to vaping and haven't had an analogue for 3 days now. Which i'm happy about.
Also, would you recommend manual's over auto's? As currently mine are auto batteries. And i'm thinking about switching to manuals.

I think it's hard to compare between people since people vape different amounts and frequency. But I did hear elsewhere 2-3 hours for V4L Shorty. In general, most people here seem to recommend manual batteries unless there is some overwhelming reason you need to vape hands-free. In general, automatics are prone to turning themselves on in wind and vibration (anything that makes it think you are sucking on it). Automatics also often need a warm-up puff or an extended draw to warmup and start making vapor. With manuals you can press the button then 1/2-1 second later start drawing on it and draw for your usual 1-5 seconds, then let up on the button and continue to draw the remaining vapor out. Like Press - start drawing - unpress - finish drawing out the remaining vapor. It gives you more control over your hit.

5 seconds lol - I don't think I could inhale 5 seconds of air. hahaha. My own draws are more like press 1/2 to 1 second - draw 1-2 seconds - unpress - while continuing to draw one more second

I ventured into other models mostly out of curiosity. V4L got me off the analogs and kept me off them. As far as manuals over auto's, it is just a personal preference. A lot of people prefer the manuals. Me personaly, I prefer the autos.

ETA: I also have tried numerous atty's (401, 510 reg and LR, 306 reg. and LR, 901, 801) and I prefer cartomizers! (just thought I'd throw that in there too!)

I use Vaper King XLs and get around 4 hours, (4 batteries get me thru the day) regular about 1 1/2 so a mini for me could be as little as 15 or 20 minutes

It all depends on how you vape

i like the 10 to 13 second cut off on there batteries now. Sometimes I use it
4 hours? Is that a continuous vaping over 4 hours straight? Or do you put it down and pick it up again once in a while?
Reason i ask, is my mother in law's battery, she has the regular, has lasted her all day and well into the second day without needing to charge it. She smokes a lot, but has been very happy vaping and her battery has been smashing.

Thanks for the extra info, i really appreciate the responses i've gotten here.
