Whoa?...can you expand on that or link me to where you read it. I want to make sure my cartos match my batteries. I do not want the burning. When you say premium cartos do yo mean Premium the brand (premiumecigarette.com) or Premium the variety of cartridges at V4L?

I mean premium variety of cartos at V4L.. they had standard cartos which were 3.0Ω resistance...then they came out with the "premium" cartos which are about 2.5Ω ...then they came out with coolcarts which are about 3.2Ω...and soon they'll have the edition 2 cartos that don't have the cotton filler in them...

the problem is the premium V4L ones with their lowered resistance burn hotter and if you vape heavy the carto was unable to keep up as far as wicking the juice and the filler touching the wire would burn..even though the carto wasn't anywhere near empty or dry..

there's a long burning carto thread about the trials and tribulations about burning carto filler...

I also use Premium and love them. These batteries last a lot longer than any other KR808D-1's, that are out there. Also, love their pre-filled Carts. I love the strawberry. I do refill them and also get carts from V4L. I like the juices from V4L. But for the price of the shipping, you'd think it would get here in 3 days, which it never has. More like 7-10. Not happy with that, at all. The parts are interchangeable.

Well, I guess it comes down to what you're willing to pay. I am honestly surprised that they're a decent company, given what they're charging for a kit you can get for $35.

It's not "a little more" expensive... it's 3 times over what you would normally pay. V4L has a mark-up too, but they do have tweaked batteries and nice paint, and their mark-up is... well, a lot more reasonable than $110 for a starter kit, that's for sure.

So, if they were charging V4L prices, or even a little more, I could understand. But... seriously? 30 bucks for a standard battery, because of the paint job? And $13 for a 5-pack of cartos? Really?

We've had people chime in here that Kr8 batts from other places can and do last a perfectly good amount of time, so I'm not really convinced of that. They all come from China, man.

Maybe my budget makes me bias. I'm not even willing to pay V4L's mark-up. The tweaking just doesn't matter enough to me to make it worth the extra money. I am quite serious about making vaping cheaper than smoking, and I made smoking REALLY cheap. But I can understand why their prices are what they are.

I cannot understand why anything short of a mod should cost over 100 dollars.

If you take a look at the Cosmetic Mods section, my Kr8 batts no longer look anything like what they did. They've got decal designs on them, painted to a high gloss with nail polish, and I have gemmed end caps. Cost me a few bucks to do all that, and I'd dare say it looks as good or better than what they're charging over a hundred for. With a 901 atty and a flat-tip cart on there? I feel like Audrey Hepburn.

Did it take a little time? Yeah, I guess. But it didn't cost me as much as a week's worth of groceries.

I guess if you've got the money to spend and you're not smoking, cool. But as far as I'm concerned, that's highway robbery.

Well, if you look at some of the other posts here, there are people who have had batteries from other places last them just as long.

As for me, haven't been vaping that long yet. But I got 3 plain jane, unbranded Kr8 batts 2 months ago, and so far so good.

And here's the reality of the matter.

If these batts last me for only 4 months... I'm already spending less than what you spent on the Premium batts.

Hi everyone. This is all very new to me. I had bought a premium kit used from a lady and it works wonderfully. The question for me is not the battery {at least for now} but the best deal I can get on cartridges that will fit the PR 110 model. If I go to the other site can someone tell me what model to get there that will fit?

thanks

Most people here use manual batteries. Does Premium offer those?

If you are looking for KR808D-1 cartomizers (they are not cartridges if they screw on)

Premium KR808D-1 soft-cap blank cartomizers at LiteCigUSA.net

If you want prefilled, I get them at Vapor4Life.com - they are also soft caps. I add juice whenever the vapor gets light or a bit dry, before it gets so dry that the stuffing would be singed. I can get 4+ days out of a carto. Since I vape 2 PVs that is about 8 days out of 2 cartos. One of my 510 model's cartos has actually lasted 2 weeks.

(Please indulge me here so I can get this in my head once & for all...)

If I buy a KR808D from one supplier, will they work with the cartomizers from another KR808D battery supplier?
(eg will V4L cartomizers work on my White Cloud Batteries or the generic batteries from Heaven Gifts?)
Will KR808D-1 batteries work with KR808D-2 cartomizers, or are they interchangeable?
How would I know which are KR808D-1 or D-2?

Generally the rebranded KR808D-1 parts can be used with each other. Occasionally there has been a vendor with different air inlets or without the the recess cut across the cartomizer's center raised circle on the threaded end. Also you want soft-cap cartos for ease in filling. Sometimes other "name" brands use hard caps or glued-on caps to discourage refilling so clueless customers will buy tons of cartos from them. I only buy cartos I know are soft cap.

One person had a rebrander battery with a lower recess or something and it didn't electrically contact some V4L cartos.

And I know nothing about White Cloud. Some of the "name" KR8-like rebrander offerings (like Greensmoke for example) are actually KR808D-2 which is threaded differently and those require an adapter to use KR808D-1 stuff.

just thought i'd add my experience. I started with the 808 5 months ago. I used 2 different batts, from 2 different vendors (neither from v4l or premium), for about a month and a half to two months. One died around the 2 month mark. This one happened to be from the (slightly) pricier vendor. When I moved on past the 808, I gave my working batt to a friend. This was a cheap-o generic 808. He's still using it, 5 months later. I've seen him drop it multiple times, even into puddles and snow banks, and the thing is still going strong.

Just because a product is higher-priced, does not mean it is of higher quality. When a friend of mine starting vaping, I warned him about expensive rebranded starter kits from companies that don't disclose the actual model number (ie 808, 510, 901). What did he do? He ordered from v2cigs and paid 2-3x higher than what I paid, even for my more expensive batt. My friend, his brother, and his father all got 2 batt kits, and they each had at least one battery die within the 1st week. They were using pre-filled cartos, so presumably it wasn't a juice in the battery issue. Again, higher-priced does not always equal higher quality.

When using these cheaply made electronics mass produced in China, you are going to encounter a wide range of quality. You could order 2 batts from the same vendor, one could be DOA and the other may last 9 months. It is a crap shoot. That's just the way it is.

Also, saying that a battery lasted 2 months, or 6 months, or any length of time, doesn't really mean much. A battery's lifespan (assuming it is not defective and not abused) is based on the amount of charge cycles. If I have 6 batts in rotation, they'll be charged less frequently than if I only have 2. As a result, they will last "longer." If you use a passthrough when at home, at work, or on the road, you will likely get "longer life" out of your battery.

I have KR808D-1 batteries from Premium and V4L. All are good batteries with what seem to be the norm battery length (IMO KR808 batteries don't last long before they need a charge). I dont order batteries from Premium any longer due to cost, but occationally I still order their vanilla prefilled carts. I love the flavor. I refill them when they are empty. I have used V4L carts on my Premium battery and Premium carts on my V4L batteries and all work will together.
