Hi everyone, I've learned from this & other forums that I'm sensitive to PG after 2 kits caused coughing & throat irritation. I'm looking at both Vapor 4 Life & Prosmoke VG starter kits. Any opinions on either or both would be very helpful. I've got information overload from researching e-cigs, there's so much out there. Thanx in advance :)

i have the V4L starter kit and am happy with it. (go for the manual batts imo) the only VG stuff i've tried so far has been the 555 stuff (tried the PG version as well) both were good (but i personally prefer Kamel :D) that being said...seems that hardware wise either would suit your needs. really the main concern for you (imo) is which juice/cartos in VG are best for your taste.

Hi Nana, welcome to the forum! You don't have to buy a whole new kit, just some juice for the ecig you already have that doesn't contain PG. What kit do you already have?

Prosmoke is a skinny little thing, probably an M403 auto battery with teensy annoying carts and no cartos available. I would not buy it. I started on M402 and M401 manual (more reasonable length and the more popular manual batteries). Nice flavor, not much hit, incredibly tiny annoying carts. I would not buy Prosmoke. If you really want to try that model buy an M401 manual elsewhere. It may keep you happy for 3-4 weeks.

Vapor4Life - a 2-piece, KR808D-1 which is the most popular and supported 2-piece. When manufacturers make new kinds of cartos, KR808D-1 is likely to be the only 2-piece model supported. This is a pretty hard hit at 24mg an even at 18mg with many flavors. If your throat gets irritated easily then I don't know if I would recommend it. You can go look at what they have available in VG cartomizers - not nearly the selection of the Premium and WOW cartos. But if you will be happy with the VG cartos and/or filling cartos with thinned VG yourself, then sure, try it.

What models were you vaping? And what eliquids were you using? For example, something like Greensmoke (KR808D-2), Bloog, Smoketip, etc - Vapor4Life will be a similar hit unless you use the VG cartos or fill your own VG cartos by thinning VG juices and filling the cartos.

I actually think you might get a softer throat experience from a manual 510 or 510 w/ mega xl batteries and use Boge blank cartomizers?

My first purchase was SmokeTip with 18 mg cartos. I lowered to 6mg cartos at their suggestion with out any change in the coughing. They took it back per the 30 day guarentee. (Kristi in Customer Service is is great by the way). Purchase #2 was Smoke To Live aka Smoking Everywhere, which my hubby bought at the mall. No returns, terrible customer service. That kit is being tried out by my husband's co-worker so I might end up with that one coming back to me if she doesn't like it. ...So I'm looking for something I can return if the VG causes the same reaction as the PG. That's why I don't want to buy hardware & juice separately as most hardware is non-refundable. I've read that the KR808 is good but with short time b/4 it needs recharging.
How do I thin out VG?

Kristi is excellent, I agree with you. Do you want to stay with something about the size of your smoke tip? The bigger the cig, usually the longer the battery lasts. The Smoke Tip was automatic. Would you try a manual ecig? You push a little button when you vape and you control the drag. Also helps with battery life.

I found the SmokeTip a bit heavy & "fat". I have researched the manual batteries and that might be something I would want later after I've been vaping awhile. I'm a creature of habit so I think automatic is the way to go for me. I'm not opposed to longer as long as it's not a pen style...I've been doing my homework so I'm just saturated with differing opinions. Over at the VaporTalk forum they all love their Egos & Rivas but I'm not there yet.

Try the V4L then. My mom has that but she's not very good filling and ruined some batteries. She started with automatic and then went to manual. If you want to start with automatic, try that. Extra batteries aren't a whole lot and you can always buy more batteries for $10 or so if you like the kit.

V4L has huge sales all the time. Sign up for their newsletter and they send you info about their sales. I got my mom the XL kit when they had a 35% off sale.

I tried to look at their VG cartomizers but I couldn't get that page to load for me.

They're a nice company and will answer all of your questions.

Smoketip is the same KR808D-1 model as Vapor4life so you might as well just try the VG cartos. One thing betetr about Vapor4Life is you can get manual batteries.

Dormouse, I think she sent it back. Just as well really, it's a great company but I thought the draw was really hard on it.

Thank you both so much. Dormouse, while I had the SmokeTip I'd try using it & then just put it in an ashtray for most of the day...I only had to recharge that battery 1 time in almost 30 days of minimal vaping (cough-cough) so since I only smoke about 3/4 of a pack of analogs a day I'm hoping a kit with 2 batteries from V4L will do it for now.
Swedishfish, thanks for the code I'll order today.

I'm so glad Nana! Why not email them and see if you can get a battery instead of the pass-thru? They are very nice.

If you don't happen to like their juice, they do sell empty cartos that you can fill yourself. Very easy to do. You save a little money and can try different juices.

I love V4L but not a huge fan of their juices. Others love it.
