Is it just me or does it seam as though buying Vapegear off eBay is a bad idea?

I bought my MVP2.0 off of eBay and a few aerotanks all those were great! But, they came completely unopened with the scratch and safe seal to check serial numbers for authenticity.

I've also bought a kfun quartz kit- came in with a cracked tank - seller replacing
Also a kayfun nano-m-tank kit that came insisting the chimney -no response from seller- so it's basically a useless plastic tank- yeah that's money I could have given to a hobo.
Those purchases are just these week. Over the past few months I've bought quite a few vape items most have been an exercise in futility.
Apparently I have to look for the key words: "serial number to verify authenticity".

Rant over: I just hope I'm not the only one whose noticed this foolishness.

Haven't had any problems but I always check out the satisfaction ratings before buying from someone new. I have a few select vendors that I keep in my own personal approved ebayers list that I've done multiple deals with.

Are there bad ebay vendors? Without a doubt.

Bad ones with thousands or even only hundreds of positive reviews? ..not so much.

I've bought lots of things on ebay, not just vape gear. I have always been pleased with my purchases. You need to carefully do your research and take time to read the feedback comments. Actually, that's what I do with any online purchase I make. When I buy stuff on Amazon, which I do frequently, I always take time to read the reviews.

So far so good on eBay for me. I only go for the top rated sellers, with nearly 100% positive reviews. May pay a couple more dollars then with the lesser known vendors from ebay, but I've only had one issue (also with a glass Kayfun kit) and the vendor responded immediately and sent a replacement without requiring me to send the broken one in. Left him a positive review anyway, for not making trek to the post office to get a replacement.

I normally Have zero issues with eBay; I look at feedback and always know what I'm looking for:
I buy cologne, electronic components, tools, fishing gear and do most Christmas shopping through eBay. The only thing I won't buy is jewelry; but that's because I want to look at stones through my jewelers loop first.
I've never had issues like this. Bought some evids that we're trash when I got them, these two items came in yesterday and today, a while back some hanger coils 2 out of 5 worked, this is just. A few weeks ago I thought I bought a quartz kit and it was only the glass. Then when I left feedback the seller got so flipped and crazy on his email correspondence I had to file a
Complaint.
I'm starting to think that eBay (as far as vape gear) is turning into the dollar store run by idiots.

As was said earlier you really should check the seller's rating and reputation. That said, I stopped using Ebay back in 2007 after a particularly bad experience and didn't use it again until very recently, and then only to buy a cheap set of magnets. Those arrived and were just what I wanted, so far so good. I'll ease back into it slowly in incremental degrees of risk and with sellers I've heard good things about.

I do check the feedback and never buy from anyone below 99%

That said I'm just gonna have to not buy any vape stuff from them, I hate having to set up accounts with merchants; if places like 101vape, madvapes, cigtech etc.... Took paypal I wouldn't look on eBay, that's sad I know.
