Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes!!

Surgery went well, no surprises (always a good thing), I was up doing laps around the halls later the same day.
The leg pain is almost entirely gone, now just a matter of letting the incision heal up. I was discharged before lunch yesterday and just taking it easy.
2 things surprised me.
First, the doc wanted me 0 nic for 24 hours prior and I think it's a week (or 2) after surgery. Made that transition painlessly.
Second I never even asked abut vaping in the hospital and didn't vape at all while there. Since I normally puff like a freight train when home
I was kinda shocked I never thought about it or reached for it. I still grabbed it as soon as I was in the car and had it handy again, but it was nice to know it's definitely a habit and not an addiction.

GOOD TO HEAR!!! Yeah, nicotine is HECK on surgeries :/ I don't remember if they told me that you take longer to HEAL, or you bleed out, or longer to come out of the induced sleep Anesthesia! All I know is that I was told that I gotta be nicotine free for a month before I go in for the next one!

SO GLAD TO HEAR!!!! Once the swelling around the incision goes down you'll likely see even more reduction in the leg pain. When Dave's surgeries went well it was a few days before all the sciatic nerve pain was gone. The incision should heal up quickly as long as it's kept clean and dry over the next week. In other words: baby wipe baths for the next several days.

I'm no stranger to pain, but as distracting as it can be it's still mind numbingly boring being laid up for weeks.

Are you about ready to make some money? I've got some work for you, as do many others I'm sure.
