04/18 Entry #3 . . .

can't help but wonder, if this was intentional. if not, i apologize as it was rude to point out. lol

No Problem . . .

AND - Actually, it was not intentional and as I have said before and will repeat . . .

First and Foremost - People always need to WAIT to Quote "Me" . . .

Especially - Since there are times that ECF will take over and post something to early that still needs to be checked and edited . . .

AND - Worse since I do have a learning disability, I always have to check stuff after it has been posted - since I cannot spell and "My" grammar is even worse then "My" spelling . . . Because part of that disability is that "My" Mind works quicker then I do, especially when typing . . . So I never ever know what I need to fix, edit, and/or correct till it is already up and "done" (even in Advance Mode and when I can preview the post before posting it to the thread) . . . Matter of fact, if you think that is something - it seems the Brain inside "My" Head is always ahead of "Me" and "My" Body, including "My" Mouth - So just imagine what happens when I am talking to someone I don't "like" before I have a chance to "filter" anything I say . . .

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

BTW: There are a few people here on ECF who know what I am talking about "PERSONALLY" too . . . ;)
Sometimes it is called having a "Gut Reaction" and being a "....*" too . . .

But - "We're" GOOD - No Harm Meant and None Taken . . .:D

(OH YEA - Although it took "Me" an hour to do - the Original Posted was Edited and Spelling, Typos, Grammar - I think - was were all corrected before I saw your post . . . Just Sayin' . . .;))

EDIT: Now You really want to laugh - I went to college for the first time at the age of 40 and recieved 2 college degrees in just four years with "My" Learning Disabilty and actually graduated with scholastic honors too . . .

glad we're good :) i absolutely meant nothing by it, although i thought it was intentional, in which case it was clever :)

another long night ahead of me. this is going to be really tough for me to get used to wifey working. 9 hour shift at the office, followed immediately by a 6-7 hour shift with the boy. no more breaks, no more quiet time, no more 'me' time. 4 days a week.
i told wifey that i would be going out tomorrow night to promote, hand out fliers and sell event tickets for my upcoming show, she was not pleased, just the opposite in fact. i gotta have my one night out a week, not even a full night, just 2-3 hours, not just because my business is music, but because it my passion and my sanity.
[complaint over]

2. 4/18 Scorpions, tarantulas, brown recluse, fire and carpenter ants, etc. Got 'em all. I am very fond of the alligator lizards, they eat those insects.

#2 4/18

Well it's officially spring here - the dog is chasing scorpions in the living room. They invade every year for a few weeks.
As much as I hate poison, it's better than the insects I just listed. Those carpenter ants are the worst, they'll eat your house! As far as scorpions go, I keep a pair of scissors handy. A quick snip of the tail and I leave them to go on their un-merry way.

For splits and giggles try two gallons one day and report back... like I said before if you think you hydrate yourself enough hydrate some more. VG is also a humectant as Akatina once said.
I drink enough water as it is, and sometimes get a headache after a quart of water, and before I have even had a vape. Even with vitamin C twice a day, the pee gets a little too clear after a few hours. I don't want to wash all my electrolytes out. Must maintain balance.

I have heard that most scorpion stings are on par with bee and wasp stings.

I line in Northeast Ohio, so the only scorpions I see are on TV... so I may be misinformed...
I have heard that it's a lot like a bee sting, but I have never been stung by a scorpion. One sting is not so bad, but I know someone that went into anaphylactic shock from being stung by 8 or more at once. They fell off the curtains at the head of her bed while she was sleeping. Late last spring I had to clear a couple of tons of very large rocks from an acre so I could mow the waist high grass, must have seen 30-40 scorpions a day.

We have the same small brown scorpions in the SC mountains that GaMntGirl has. I was stung by one when I was 10 or so and it looked like someone put a cigar out on my leg :( During scorpion season every daily activity was changed. Want a shower? Skate out your towel and the shower curtain and the bath mat. Getting dressed? Shake out all your clothes and shoes. Going to bed? Flip back all the sheets, shake them out, take of the pillow case and shake it out too. Ugh....
Don't let the edge of the sheets or blankets get near the floor. Keep the bed pulled out a few inches from the wall and away from windows. They also like to drop down from ceiling fans and light fixtures. Nothing like sitting at the computer for a few hours and noticing a scorpion on your shoulder approaching your face. I'm over 40 and I've still never been stung due to heightened awareness and a lot of luck.

3. 4/18 - I thought I scared everyone away with all the scorpion talk.

Sorry I didn't include that clown in my quote, seeing it once is enough.

I would say we scare the scorpions more than they scare us, but I don't think they have the brains for that.

On a different note, I thought there would be more posts in this thread by now, only one more day to go!
