I was chatting with a store owner yesterday and asked him about the Vamo 5. Right away he showed me 3 Vamo 5's that needed to be returned because of different defects. I sure do appreciate his honesty!!

Mine works flawlessly. Would be nice to know how many did that person sell. Having 3 for repair wouldn´t be much if he sold 300. But, needless to say, it´s not a high end device, so quality control issues will most probably be there.
I bought mine from fasttech for 28$. It functions perfectly. There was a week or so when I thought it was firing weird, but I was being paranoid. There's no problem with it at all lol.
I don't use it often now that I have my MVP 2, but I still use the Vamo every now and again.

I also bought mine V5 from FastTech for 28$ have one week and it's in my hand now; has the CE stamp on the back works good.

The threads are eventually going to go out as well. Lots of people complaining about that. I don't personally own one Im just going by what people have said and why they upgraded.
Have had mine for maybe 6 weeks now, works great but I'm keeping an eye on the threads.
I will say that the 510 connection or the entire top cap is crooked, slender tanks like the KPT Mini IIs show it pretty well, and it is set too high as well as the I have to unscrew the ring at the top to get it to meet the bottom of tanks.
Not perfect but inexpensive and so far...knock on wood, trustworthy.

I've had my Vamo for months, my threads are not even close to being worn out. Granted I haven't used it all for vaping within the last two months (except to build on), but there was a time when it was my all day device .. perhaps because I have an stainless steel version?
Anyway, there are going to be lemons in every product line, and maybe that vendor bought his Vamo's from a crappy supplier?

Yea, my Vamos (v5's) work fine, no thread issues, operational issues or other.
the top ring is removable to accommodate different tanks, sizes. I use a flat top battery in mine, less pressure on the tube components than a button top. great mod for the price, great functionality

exactly. i got a lemon mvp 2.0! but the seller is doing the right thing and shipped my replacement before i could even get to the post office to send the dud back.
Haven't had any issues with the VAMO V 5. Seems like a pretty solid device to me.
Even though I live in Argentina, my last order was delivered to the US as I was visiting some relatives. Took 12 days to Cali, once shipped
Total time less than three weeks came to the states fast came within 5 miles from (NYC) me and was shipped down to Texas that added another six days.
I added a beauty ring to it; fills in a small gap between the tank and head.
