Just got a vamo 5 as a cheap alternative to my provari mini for out and about. The problem i'm having is if i press the fire button down i can feel the internals bouncing off the back of the sleeve. Also i noticed if i dont keep my finger pressure fairly heavy on the fire button it while firing it will cut out. I'm not expecting it to be a provari but would like to know if this is normal? If so i wont worry about it but if its not guess i need to return it. Thanks in advance.

Just picked up my v5 and got a nice vape off a kayfun lite clone. Can't say the firing button has ever felt like the internals were moving in the almost 4 months I've had it. I've had issues with it occaisionally shutting off, but a quick 5 presses of the firing button turns it right on. I don't own a provari, but I'm sure a vamo is gonna have quality control issues vs an American made product. But it still works well especially for my investment into it.:vapor:

That definately doesn't sound right. It sounds like the main PCB somehow came loose. My V3 and V5 have never had that problem and both still work fine. I'd say exchange it for a new one. But to make sure, unscrew it and look inside the top cap to see if the PC Board is loose. It's a great unit and I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

Never had that issue, I guess I've been lucky... I did have a Vamo V5 that had the +/- buttons slightly shake if the Vamo itself was shook, but it still worked nicely... I do have it as a backup now.

As an aside, I just got a chrome black one ordered from fasttech arrive last week that had the newest firmware that had the newest firmware (KSD 6.1, I think), very cool screen when you change the voltage that lists the voltage in big numbers and also has battery level and ohm reading all on the one screen.. anyone else get one yet? And all for under $30. If I didn't already have 2 other working Vamo V5s (work and spare), I'd order another one :)

I've got 3 Vamo's and everyone has it's own personality quirck's. Tight bottons, loose buttons and I don't think the screen layout is the same on any of them. That said, I think they are great little VV/WW mods. I'll probably alway's have one around.

I hope they took good care of you where ever you got it from.

How do you display the firmware version?
