The quality of the "hit" is from the atomizer, not the battery tube it's on top of.

I don't agree with that. The battery makes all the difference. If you have a 2.4 ohm atomizer and a battery that wont go over 3.7 volts, your not going to get a good vape. That's why they're making v-v and v-w. batteries with bigger mAH will have higher voltage and the voltage is what drives the atomizer. Right?
Not only that but the pg vg and mg of your eliquid makes a difference. We all have our own preferences.

You could have a vv/vw going full out and a 30 amp battery, but if you have a T3S on top of it, you're going to get a T3S vape. The stuff on the bottom, the battery, the vv/vw, are just the power supply; the QUALITY of the vape is determined by the kind of coil with the kind of wicking in the kind of atomizer/tank.

Nope. You apply voltage to a coil and the current it produces makes the heat. Higher voltage on a given resistance produces more heat.

The mAh rating of the battery just needs to be high enough to produce the desired current for an acceptable amount of time. All Lions are essentially the same voltage (coming off charge), regardless of the mAh rating of the battery. Higher mAh just means they can provide that voltage for a longer time.

I agree. For me, that 2.4 Ω coil on a fixed 3.7 volt battery won't please me, either. But it doesn't matter if it's a 350 mAh Ego or a 2600 mAh MVP set at 3.7 volts, it won't please me.

Changing the coil resistance used to be the only way to adjust the vape. VV and VW make that un-necessary, since you can control the voltage (or let the VW mode control the voltage for you) to get the current through the coil that makes the vapor you like.

Granted, there are different types of voltage regulation circuits that can affect the qualitiy of the applied voltage, and some say they can taste the difference, but it still doesn't matter if the battery is, say, a 700 mAh 18350 or a 3100 mAh 18650.

But put that 2.4 coil in a CE5 and in a Kayfun. Put them on the same source. Big difference.

Thanks David. So you're saying we're both right... or we're both wrong! LOL
To make my post "legal" in this thread I have a Vamo V5 new version. I purchased a bundle - NiteCore charger, 2 Efest 18350s, 2 18650s, iClear30S, a box of coils and the Vamo SS for $99. They all have the CE marking on them and they all work very well so far.

Not a bad price for the "kit", as getting it in pieces, which may have been cheaper per part, you'd end up paying numerous shipping fees. :)

Again, mAh rating of the battery has nothing to do with the voltage. But a lot to do with how long the battery can deliver that voltage to any specific load. Having an adjustable voltage / wattage battery lets you compensate for varying loads (i.e. resistance). Since "factory" coils come in a variety of marked values - which may or may not be close to the actual value! - it's a good choice for many. (Me included in that many. Heck, I even run a kick in my mechs!)

I week with my Vam so far and I LOVE IT! I too got two Efest 18650's and two 18350's and a Nitecore I4. With the small batts in her she is quite a bit shorter than my Vision Spinner two with the same tank. Only about 1/4 inch longer with the big batt. Nothing like two days of vaping on a batt that takes 3 or 4 hours to charge! My battery worries are OVER.
This set up is yet another game changer in my vaping progression and inexpensive enough that I won't cry lake a girl if I break it. If I do, most of the expense was the Batts. and charger so I will just get another Vamo, heck with my compulsive nature I am fighting not buying another right now! Maybe an SVD hmmmmmm.

34.95 shipped from US seller, genuine KSD.

I have a vamo v5 and an SVD. I like the SVD slightly better. Both are several months old. Occassionally there is a tank or device that does not work on my v5; everything works on the SVD. The thing I dislike most about the vamo is my fear that the spring cap won't make a good connection...one of my 18650 batts does not work on the v5. since the SVD is telescoping it does not rely on a spring. The SVD also gives you the option of a 18500 batt which gives you a smaller, lighter configuration but still lasts for hours.

"What's in a name? That which we call a Vamo
By any other name would Vamo as sweet;"

Have yet to actually see a Vamo with the name Vamo on it.
Had 2 V2's last year, one is still in it's tube and working, the other had a button die on it, turned it into a box mod (Hammond 1591 box, V5 Top connector and ring and mini-usb charging) and it's still going strong!!
Now also have a Vomo version chip (Vamo V5 chip) in an Arlo build 3x18650 power bank system and I rarely leave the house without it.

You do need good batteries, but make sure they are Not Protected or your Vamo (from who ever made yours this month) will not fire properly. It has it's own built in protection.

You see a lot of "mods" -- custom things people have made, and sometimes they become things you can buy -- I've wondered if anyone has bothered making a smaller extension tube for the Vamo, so it could use 18490/18500 batteries. I really would love the option; those last a good bit longer than 18350s, but it would keep the thing from being so blasted tall. When I'm just sitting around at home, I generally leave a 18650 in it, but when we go out, I always put a shorter battery in it, just cuz I don't wanna carry around a Jr baseball bat. :D

I have had 2 Vamo mods, both discolored badly within 2 weeks! I have a tendency to knock over my mods on my desk, in doing so I broke one of the up/down buttons on both mods. The button still kinda works but not "clicky" anymore and changes the setting to easy. I would not buy a Vamo unless it was the SS version, and I had a cup or mod holder for my desk. I ended up buying a Sigelei Legend and then a Sigelei 20w. I think these devices are worth every penny more I had to spend on them. The Legend was $45 and the 20w was $60 from online vendors.

Just my :2c:
I pre ordered a 100w box mod, so much for being cheaper than smoking .... :p
