Is it just me?

I put a 5ml Atremis tank on my Vamo, and the thing pulls like crap, (probably because the fit is snug and the air holes can’t do the job.) Does anyone have any suggestions? Adapters? Specialized O rings? I guess I can throw it on my box mod but it's kinda heavy and I wanted to use the shortened Vamo when I'm out and about.

Any thoughts???

You are not alone. QC on these things seems to be pretty inconsistent though, my SS VAMO 2 works great with my u-dct with no modification. People have been notching the lock ring with a hacksaw or dremel, or if you don't want to modify your tank there are air flow control valve you can get that go between the mod and the tank. I don't have any links handy atm, sorry, but they're out there.

Here's one of the last posts on this type of issue...

And here is the cover that I think works best for this issue
U-DCT eGo battery thread cover

And a pic to show the results...

I love my AGR locking tank on my vamo! The locking piece doubles as a nice shiny 510-510 adapter for my other 510 delivery devices.

Yeah. I think it's a pretty good idea to always use some sort of adapter on the VAMO if you don't mind adapters. It'll prevent you from pushing the center pin down past the silicone washer. While I haven't experienced that problem myself since I'm almost always using the Tank Airflow Controller, I understand that it is a common problem from over tightening attys...especially AGA-Ts.

I have to say however that as much as I like my airflow controllers, I'm gonna pick up a few of those ego thread cover rings from VK. I love my U-DCTs and like anything that will look good and provide good airflow.

I just got my new Vamo in the mail, screwed my ST 5 ml UDCT on it and have no issues with airflow...it works rather well as a matter of fact...

Edited to add: I was wrong....I didnt have the tank fully screwed on. Once I did, it wouldn't pull for crap. Fortunately, I have an adapter cone that hides eGo threads when using a 510 threaded tank. I screwed it in and it just sticks over the end of the Vamo tip by a tiny bit and is double slotted for airflow. It pulls extremely well now. This thing is just awesome...especially for the price.
