So I posted a few days ago about the power from my 5 day old Vamo all of sudden started fading after 3 or 4 seconds of holding the fire button. I won't repeat everything from the last post here. This question is more in regard to the inside tube, which I didn't mention.
When I cleaned the inside tube a few days ago, I noticed that the red washer was off centered, butting up against the inside wall. In addition, I noticed there was a dark ring on the inside of the metal tube, coming out from under the red washer and partly going up the inner tube wall. I didn't think anything of it. Today, I also noticed that the top of flat top unprotected, panasonic battery had just a little black stuff on the top it (which I was able to wipe off).
Could have shorted it or something? I don't know much about batteries (but I'm learning quickly), so I'm just wondering if the batteries burned something which caused the black ring and is causing my protank, viva nova and other devices to fire anemically. Also, does the red washer being off centered mean anything?
Thanks a lot
