I realy loved my VAMO , great size and vaped great . Got the voporskinz for it and have been THRILLED with it's performance ..... UNTIL NOW ! I hit the button to vape and it said LO with brand new batteries . I took out batteries and put in some others . When I started it back up it puffed some smnoke and started vaping , I wasn't touching the button ! I pulled batteries and tried again . Now all I get is realy high Ohm reDINGS AND NO VAPE .Hopefully Vapor alley can help me out .

Sorry to hear about the problem.

Do you know which generation the unit is? What do you use as a head typically? Wattage/Voltage?
Have you had any accidents with it or shocks to the system? Which battery spring was in it?
I don't know if you used a light to see but you could also check to see if the top battery insulator is in your unit and if there appears to be any dampness/water/juice up in the electronics compartment.

When you started it back up, did it just start firing without hitting the button or the issue you described happened when you fired it?
Where did you see smoke come from?

I know the first things people ask sounds like doubting you or an interrogation but I believe the majority, like myself are just trying to understand. I am very happy too with my VAMO. I have wondered about the possibility that high resistance springs may cause damage to the electronics.

I hope you get your device fixed or replaced quickly.

It is a generation 2 gun metal . was running stacked efest red 18350's . it had the newer spring in it .Iit does have the red top battery insulator . No dampness detected anywhere . Center post is dry . When I started it back up it just started vaping , no buttons pushed . the smoke came out of where the center post is .

Thanks for the followup! It may be the "2nd Spring" which has been reported in some instances to have too high a resistance is causing damage to the circuitry. Your issue here sounds like a short circuit on the board or the fire button.

At the rate these things are selling they may have taken short cuts in QC too. That is a sad thing to consider but unfortunately it is too common.

Without a visual inspection and testing of the board it would be very difficult to determine the root cause. The circuit packages are basically the same with the VAMO, Zmax, and several others. I haven't heard of this failure on any others though I may have missed it.

I'm glad I got a first run of the version 2. Seems like most of us who did have had zero problems with our Vamos.
I agree ... they've probably tripled their production on the Vamo which means less quality control.

Not sure how smoke could have came out of the center post ... I don't think there is venting up there? Still .. if it smoked, it's probably a fried circuit board. Very well could have been a combination caused by the spring issue and stacked batteries.

Sorry about your luck and hope you get a replacement.

China QC is definitely lacking. Waiting on my 2nd replacement. Thank God for Smoktek's great CS

I'm gonna cry if my replacement has the same issue it had before. I can't take this eGo crap. My VV boxmod needs a burial. Vaping Gods, have mercy. I want to make the VAMO last a good long time, I love it.

The odds are in your favor. Smoketek CS told me they have had 11 returns with the Lo error problem out of around 500 sold. The one I just returned had the Lo error problem. The 1st one I returned had a completely different problem.
