I have the Vamo V5 and have been using the Protank 3 with it for a few weeks now. Here in the last few days I have been getting no firing at all. I will put the Vamo down, after a while I will go to take a few puffs off it and absolutely NOTHING comes out, and you can't hear the coil getting hot. I have to loosen the bottom where the protank 3 coil is connected to the Vamo and then tighten it in order for it to work again. My tank is full, coil is new, battery is charged on the Vamo. I haven't had any issues up until about 2-3 days ago, and I have had the vamo and protank 3 for a little over a week.

Any idea's on how to fix this issue?

Hard to say without playing with your setup myself however found protanks to be fussy things at the best of times possibly the coil needs screwing down a tad more usually whenever it happened on my provari it was because the protank needed a tiny tighten up would try all the usual tricks though clean contacts on both protank and vamo if that fails dig out a old cartomiser or tank if it fires up the vamo isn't the problem

I have cleaned all connectors, changed coils, tightened coils, pretty much did all the fiddling with it that I could. I will throw a clearo on the Vamo and try that for a few days and see how that goes. I really like my protank, but I would like it better if I could actually vape from it lol

Remove the protank and check that the bottom of the coil is slightly protruding from the center of the base.

If it's sitting below the outer rim than it's not making contact with the firing pin on the Vamo.

Then check to make sure the coil unit is firmly screwed into the base as tight as you get it with your fingers. Check again.

I have seen where the rubber insulator will get compressed from screwing the Protank base too tight into your mod. In which case, you might be able to wiggle it out slightly... but odds are you need a new coil or need to rebuild it.

On the Vamo... hold down the small right hand button a few seconds. If you are making contact you should get an OHM reading. If it shows 9.9 you either aren't making contact or the coil is toast and need replacement.

protanks have an issue sometimes with the wire from the coil not making good contact with either the centerpin or "wall" of the coil housing.
when this "misconnection" occurs, people have a tendancy to retighten the tank back onto the mod which temporarily makes the wire make contact for a short duration of time. With the heating/cooling cycles of the wire, it looses contact again and quits working... try a new coil assembly/base...
