Not normal at all. Hold the right button down and see what the resistance rating is on your topper. Hold left button down and see what voltage your battery is. Are you using a protected battery? Have you possibly over tightened your tank causing damage to the center pin grommet? Are you saying that after 5 seconds it does start firing?

Battery was at 3.8 and ohm was 4.1 I am using protected batteries and do not think I over tightened very careful not to.
I will be vaping for a few puffs then it will not fire the power is still on and the other 2 buttons work then all of a sudden it will start back up.
I just don't want it to be a bigger problem latter on, and it is only 4 days old. I think I get very bad battery I haven't had one last more then a month
I also noticed the fire button is pretty loose you can turn it like you would a dial not sure if that I just how they Are, just a thought

Hi Krint, First thing would be to ditch the protected batteries. The Vamo has built in protection and it is best to use IMR safer chemistry batteries. Here is a link for a good place to get proper batteries. Batteries : AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh
Batteries : Efest IMR 18350 Button Top

These are two popular choices for the Vamo. The second issue would be the 4.1 ohm reading. What type of device are you using? 4.1 is the kind of reading you would get from a gym sock, lol.

You should check that the spring in the bottom is stretched enough to force good contact with the positive post in the top of the battery compartment. I would also suggest that you try a different type of topper or tank if you have one. I have some tanks that appear to make good contact and fire but are inconsistent in firing until I tighten them down a little more.

Hey again Krint,
From the additional information you provided (IMR battery, standard 4 ohm carto), the Vamo does not seem to be responding normally. Since it is new, you could request a replacement. Some sellers have a return policy. It is not worth the aggravation even if you get this unit working. Your device should be a stress and trouble free experience. I have two Vamos and both fire normally. Wish I had a better solution and hope you get it worked out.
