Again, some observations from someone new to vaping. Today regarding the Vamo V2.

The Good: The Vamo V2 is the most affordable VV/VW mod I am aware of. It has three buttons for menu navigation. It looks pretty slick. It functions exactly as advertised.

The Not So Good: The 510 well in my Vamo V2 is either slightly too wide or the threading too slight. While I can seat my nova and 2 different style 510/ego adapters into the well and get a perfect connection, I can also rock the units around in the well. It's not a secure fit. The shell surrounding the well is somewhat misshapen as well, but it doesn't really effect anything I use, nor am I aware of anything that this would get in the way of. It does kinda speak to the quality of construction though. One of my menu navigation buttons has a crushed or missing switch underneath. The button still works, but the cap just kinda lays in the slot without any tactile feedback or button travel though applying a nominal amount of pressure to it still somehow works perfectly. As has been noted about everywhere, the coating on the shell is kinda garbage (gunmetal).

All in all, it's cheap and functional and can run the gamut of what mods are capable of. It's strictly utilitarian. I dunno that it's something I would consider tossing in a backpack as I don't really know how much punishment this thing can stand up to. Cosmetically, it would for sure get ruined, but my consideration is more about any further breakage in the buttons or the kinda questionable 510 well.

Verdict: I guess, my review doesn't sound that great, but I actually love this thing. It beats my ego pass-throughs into the ground, and vapes like a champ, and really can't be beat for the price. The caveats of course are that it seems a little cheap and kinda fragile. Coupled with how large and heavy it is, you probably aren't going to be packing this thing around with you. Pretty much a home or office device that should never leave that environment.

TO protect the threading I keep one of these permanently attached to my vamo and screw/unscrew my devices to it. Tank Airflow Controller

My only real complaint is that the SS version I have is SUPER slippery. As in feels like it is slipping out of your hand even when it isn't. TO fix that I just put a couple of rubber bands around it which gave me something nonslip to grip.

Otherwise I absolutely LOVE the device.

I Love my VAMO. I dont mind carrying it around in 650 mode for the long term battery life it gives. Its considerably smaller in 350 mode.
Its a work horse. Ive had mine roughly 2 months and its been thru alot. I keep dropping it out of the vehicle when I get out, it rolls off my desk a few times a week....and its pretty easy to fix in the event you get a weird ohm warning (o ring).

The deep drip well has saved my VAMO from a juice catastrophe. And Im quite positive the variable wattage saved my delivery device a few times when I first began vaping and had no understanding of ohms law.

Id buy six more if I had the money and give them out to all my friends still smoking.

That's good to hear. Maybe I just got unlucky and my device shipped with a ....y button. That coupled with the finish and the well and 510 connector/threading, makes me question it's construction and durability a bit though. I love my Vamo though too. I have to make myself put it down, I was just making some honest observations about my particular device though.

Fantastic to hear that this thing can take a beating and has an impressive life span. If I was trying to get someone into vaping, I would save them the trouble of the useless cart/batt kits all over and get them a vamo as well.

Do you own any other mods? I'm already thinking about a Sigelei T-Max or Vision Spinner for portability.

blu - You could always do this to see if your button can be repaired: Vamo first impression and disassembly how to - YouTube
I admit that I took mine apart just to see if I could. LOL

And once your finish starts wearing off, you can get a jwrap for it.

Yes, I own other mods, in addition to the two twists I have. We have a k100, Natural and CCTS but they are all mechanical mods.

That's an awesome tip. I just looked into that airflow control, and a lot of people recommend it for EXACTLY the purpose you suggested. Is the loose 510 threading issue common to all mods?

I wouldnt say its an issue but it is super easy to over tighten a device onto a mod.

I love my Vamo and will always have one lol! No matter how many mech mods or other VV devices I own, there is always a place in my rotation for the vamo....it's though, produces great vapor, pretty damn accurate on the readings, and can switch modes on 3 different battery types, what more could you ask for?

My and friend's experience with the Vamo has been some are perfect with no issues at all while others are problematic from the get go. VERY important to purchase from a reputable Vendor that will honor the warranty. Also have to take into consideration the shipping costs if the Vamo is defective.
My Vamo is great and has no issues at all but I have friends that had problems with theirs. It's a roll of the dice IMHO.
