Again, some observations from someone new to vaping. Today regarding the Vamo V2.
The Good: The Vamo V2 is the most affordable VV/VW mod I am aware of. It has three buttons for menu navigation. It looks pretty slick. It functions exactly as advertised.
The Not So Good: The 510 well in my Vamo V2 is either slightly too wide or the threading too slight. While I can seat my nova and 2 different style 510/ego adapters into the well and get a perfect connection, I can also rock the units around in the well. It's not a secure fit. The shell surrounding the well is somewhat misshapen as well, but it doesn't really effect anything I use, nor am I aware of anything that this would get in the way of. It does kinda speak to the quality of construction though. One of my menu navigation buttons has a crushed or missing switch underneath. The button still works, but the cap just kinda lays in the slot without any tactile feedback or button travel though applying a nominal amount of pressure to it still somehow works perfectly. As has been noted about everywhere, the coating on the shell is kinda garbage (gunmetal).
All in all, it's cheap and functional and can run the gamut of what mods are capable of. It's strictly utilitarian. I dunno that it's something I would consider tossing in a backpack as I don't really know how much punishment this thing can stand up to. Cosmetically, it would for sure get ruined, but my consideration is more about any further breakage in the buttons or the kinda questionable 510 well.
Verdict: I guess, my review doesn't sound that great, but I actually love this thing. It beats my ego pass-throughs into the ground, and vapes like a champ, and really can't be beat for the price. The caveats of course are that it seems a little cheap and kinda fragile. Coupled with how large and heavy it is, you probably aren't going to be packing this thing around with you. Pretty much a home or office device that should never leave that environment.
