But does your PT2 or whichever tank sit kind of crooked on the Vamo?

Yes happens on many Vamos including my V2. Protank v1, VVV tank, and Vivi Nova clone all sit slightly crooked/leaning on my Vamo. All 3 tanks sit correctly on my SVD so it's definitely the Vamo. Poor Vamo quality control. The threads were just not cut correctly but shouldn't have any effect on how long the threads last. A coworker also has a Vamo and while it's a bit different than mine, still has the the Leaning Tower of Vamo look going on.

Thanks a bunch. Yah, I can deal with the leaning tower of bombness.

What you need instead of the ego-510 adapter is an airflow controller, I can't remember where I got mine from but they are $2-3 and are barely noticeable on the vamo

^^^ This!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, your vamo will accept EGO-threaded tanks as well. Honestly, the mini protanks and mini davides tend to thread more securely on the vamo as the 510 threading is so soft.

You can actually use the bottom base from the Mini Protank 2 on the full size Protank 1 or 2, they are all interchangeable. This helps fix the problem on devices with stripped 510 threads and also helps to stabilize the tank. If you don't already have a Mini Protank 2, you can find the base for a couple of bucks, online as well as some brick and mortar stores that carry replacement parts.
