Vamo V5 battery question

I'm sure this is a dumb question that is easily answered but i'm new to having to buy actual batteries for ecigs and after reading through a few posts about batteries that i don't fully understand, i'm not sure the batteries i'm buying will work and i don't have money to waste on replacing batteries that don't work atm.

I currently have a Vamo V5 using a dual coil 1.6ohm nautilus tank, looking at buying batteries since my first set died and i'm looking at IMR18650 20A 3100mAh 3.7v flat tops, they are the highest mAh batteries i could find (didn't look very hard) that didn't have horrible reviews, and i know they will fit but i'm unsure if the lower amps (most i looked at were 30 or 35) will cause an issue.

Like i said, dumb question, but thanks in advance

Your Vamo is limited to coils no lower than about 1.2 ohms, so you don't really need high amp batteries for it, but it won't hurt anything to use them. Would be nice to have if you get into mechanical mods and low ohm builds in the future. I've had my Vamo V2 for well over a year and bought a pair of efest IMR 18650 batteries with it and they're still going strong. From what I gather around here, Efests are "OK" batteries, and the most highly regarded are AW's and Sony's. I think doing some research and buying genuine, highly recommended name-brand batteries is advisable. The battery gurus, who will probably be stopping in here soon, will tell you to avoid cheap generic batteries and any battery with the word "fire" in the brand (Trustfire).

You don't mention the brand of batteries in your post, are they Sony?

If you want what is basically a fan favorite right now, get the Sony VTC5. I am still using the last version (VTC4) and have great luck with them! As mentioned before, avoid "fire" in the name, and buy only from a trusted source. Overseas orders have been known to be rewrapped cheapos to match other trusted brands. ie: The VTC4 has a green wrap on it, Samsung has a pink wrap. One could easily rewrap the pink Samsung, and at first glance, you assume it is a Sony VTC4. Just be careful. You are typically going to pay anywhere from $10-14 for a good battery. Worth the extra few bucks IMO.

They are Efest, meant to put that in there, i had bought some ultrafires and trustfires in the past for a couple custom mods that ended up dying soon after we got them but i didn't pay attention to the amps on them, needless to say the batteries were junk anyway, i had a leftover 18650 trustfire that i was using as a backup but after 2 months it has died as well
