Vamo V5?? I want to get this is it good?? USA sellers? Price?

I have a Vamo V5. It's OK. $30 i.i.r.c. (body only)
I use 3,400mAh batteries. I can't tell you how long they last as I've never used it long enough to find out.
I prefer everything else in my collection, more or less.

The vamo is an Ok device its pretty standard anymore with the 15 watts, I too had been looking into getting a Vamo, basiclly the price cant be beat. However I have three VV/VW devices so Ill wait for the DNA30s to flood the market instead. But if you dont have any VV/VW devices then I would say get one if you like it. All the reviews on the Vamo series are good and people seem to use and like them.
As for batteries and this goes for all devices, IMR are the safest! If you can get IMR then you shouldnt have to worry about anything but the Vamo does have some protections to prevent even cheaper batteries from failing, I would still go with a good IMR battery though.
As for price i have seen just the device as low as $30-$50 to kits with batteries and charger for $70-$100! I would just get the basic device unless you need batteries and/or charger and a tank to put on it. Last I have seen most China shops you can get one under $40 right now, but their shipping will take forever, Ebay had some and most US shops have them but you may pay a bit more like $50-60.
One thing I can say is watch a few reviews on the device your thinking about buying, make sure its going to do what you need it to before you put out money for it. I know i saw some guy bought a Vamo thinking he was going to run .4 -.6 ohm coils on it, not too many VV/VW devices wil ldo that at all, the Vamo only goes to 1.2ohms I think, so he was mad he bought it. Just do your research so its not disappointing!

Honestly, give it a miss and get a Tesla. The makers went to the trouble of making this device to quite a reasonable standard. There are features of the Tesla that any other mods of the same price range simply don't have. Solid build, spring loaded centre terminal, made from aluminium alloy 3mm thick. There just aren't any other mods, at this price range, that are made this well.
I've got a Vamo and i use it everyday, but the day i got it, it broke and i spent hours fixing it. It works perfectly now, but the build quality isn't worth the price you pay. You can believe that.

I've had mine a couple of weeks now. I bought it at SmokTek.com though not the cheapest I've dealt with them before and ship fast with good CS. I paid the following for mine with basically the kit.

Not the best, but far from the worst of the mods out there.
If you're willing to spend just a little more, look into the Joyetech eVic as an alternative.

Or get the innokin SVD no worries about stripping the threads like there is with the vamo. It was the main thing that put me off the vamo in this day and age there is no reason why they haven't sorted the 510 problem. Build quality also seems unacceptably hit and miss with the vamo as well for some it's as reliable as the day is long others it is nothing but problem after problem. I'm a self confessed lazy sod I don't want to pay out any amount of money and have to put time in getting something to do what it should do out of the box.
I have 3 vamos (two v3's and v5) and I'm feeling like a total dweeb for wasting my money. I loved the device (and the price) out of the box but the buttons will wear out far too soon. I take great care in ensuring properly fitting batteries so as not to push the controller up, but A. I shouldn't have to on a 50+ dollar mod, and B. If they're going to push out this garbage, there at least should be replacement parts for it.

I know five people that bought vamos and apart from one whose turned up DOA they all loved them for the first couple of weeks then things started going wrong long story short none of them use vamos anymore and all say will never consider again. It's a shame because the vamo could be so good but there just seems to be so much difference in individual ones.
Total shame. I love the mod, conceptually. When they work, they work perfectly and the multiple buttons are awesome. i still use mine, I just won't replace them, that's what I mean by "done with Vamo". Between the lack of quality and the clones, we're just ducks in a shooting gallery for manufacturers. I hope my Sigelei lasts. So far so good, but way too early to tell.
I own two Vamos, and I like them. I have a V3 and a V5. I got mine at Fasttech for about $30-$33 each, but expect 3 weeks to a month delivery date, since it has to go through customs (both US and China customs). Shipping is free.
Like others have said, there are some build quality issues with the vamo. I won't deny that. However, the build quality issues are usually minor in comparison. They are fairly simple devices, like someone has posted, it is a circuitboard and chip inside of a metal tube. But for the price shipping it from China, I'd say it's worth it, but I wouldn't spend $50 for one. People say they've broken theirs, or theirs broke somehow. I don't see how. I've dropped mine from counter to concrete a few times, and it still works. I've even dropped it once so hard, the tight fit between the head unit and the battery tube slipped out enough and made it look bent. A wooden block and a mallet fixed that. The glass atomizer on top broke, so that had to be replaced.
The finish on the vamos are something to be desired though. I bought one gunmetal version, and the gunmetal plating is wearing off on edges. Not too much of an issue for me, If I wanted to, they have J-wraps that can cover the whole thing. I have also heard reports of the OLED screen being not quite level... either I've never seen this, or it's so little I cannot tell.
The battery life depends on how you vape and the battery you use. At 10W with a 2400MaH battery, I go through about 4ml of juice before having to change the battery. I do have a bit of plumage going on when I vape, but it's not the clouds that you see others using. If I put a clearomizer on, and lower the wattage, I can go even further.
If you have the money, then you'd probably be better off getting a different mod, but if you're just starting to delve into VV/VW device and don't want to spend too much to test the waters, then the Vamo is the best way to go IMHO. It can be a very reliable device if taken care of. But treat it like it's a piece of electronics (which it is) and not like a set of keys and you'll be fine.

i had a vamo v5 and it worked until i dropped it just save your money and buy a provari so much better quality and made in the usa
My V5 is going strong a month in - it's been dropped a couple of times too, and usually get transported in my cupholder in the car, and my front and left pocket at work 
Not imagining it will last long, but I've already "paid for it" out my savings on analogues, so if it does me another month I'll be a happy bunny.

Forgot to add, I swap out a battery at 3.5, I don't let them run down to "lo" reading on the Vamo. You may squeeze much more time out of them letting the Vamo tell you it's low, I don't wait and swap out early.
I wouldn't say that , the SVD has the same features including the spring loaded center post and it's stainless steel not aluminum .
I have two vamo 2's and one vamo 3. Had them for 8-9 months and they have worked very well for my purposes as I don't use sub ohm coils. On one the gaskit gave way and I used a small o-ring to fix it. Other than that they have been very good, at a very good price. The vamo 2 can still be found for around $45. The vamo 5 can be found at Discount Vapers for a little over $50 with fast and cheap shipping. These are without batteries. Don't get the trustfire charger, it takes forever to charge the batteries.
