I have a V5 with no thread problems, Only thing I've noticed is mine seems to overcook the juice more than my other mod's
even at the same wattage.

That is because the 33Hz Pulse Wave modulation of the control chip used in the Vamo. It always delivers
6volts to the coil no matter what voltage or wattage setting you have it set to. It pulses 6 Volts then Off then back on at that 6 volts. it does that at different rates to supposedly average out to what it is set to.
So it will always seem to be hotter than other devices that supply a flat line signal.
Take a look at the review of the Vamo on PBusardo's Youtube video. Compare it to a device, like the Provari, that has a flat DC signal.
The Vamo is not the only regulated device that uses that 33Hz chip.
Even the low cost eGo style VV devices, Spinner, iTaste VV and the like, have a flatter signal than those that use that same or similar 33Hz chip.
I can't even measure the voltage output of my Vamo's with my multimeter when it is set to DC. It reads a much lower voltage, like 1.xxx. I have to set the meter to AC and then it reads the voltage to .1-.2 volts of what the Vamo is set to.
