Considering this mod. Any thoughts? I have previously owned a vamo and evic.

There is nothing wrong with the Vamo. I have had one for quite a while. I recently obtained a sigelei Zmax v3. Just love it. Better construction and more features. Far better view with the Oled. They are coming down in price fast. Check out the prices in the link.

The vamo is a nice unit (I have a SS V5). In that class (regulated tube devices below $100), I'd rank it behind the Zmax and iTaste SVD.

Sooner or later you're going to hear someone suggesting you consider a provari - take it with a grain of vape budget salt, but it is better than any of the above.

The Provari has a 3.5 amp limit, the VAMO has a 5 amp limit.

Most people don't know this but the VAMO is a 30 watt device.

With stacked 18350s on a 1.2 ohm coil @ 6 volts the VAMO puts out 30 watts...let's see a Provari do this ;)

I'm currently vaping my v3 VAMO on a 1.5 ohm coil @ 6 volts which is 20 watts.

Good to hear someone defending the vamo. Seems like all the reviews I saw before I bought it were good then after I found a bunch of negative ones. I know everything has pros and cons just seemed like most thought it was cheaply made and won't last. I've enjoyed it over the last 5 days and hope it holds up to many more

I have had a v3 for a couple of months and haven't had any issues out of it. The 510 connection has overly deep threads causing atomizers to wobble but in the land of China tight tolerances aren't up on the important aspects list.

I have dropped mine hard a few times also, so hard the battery lost connection...still working like a champ.

Once I figured out in VV mode this thing has a 30 watt maximum ceiling I grew a new appreciation for it, the VAMO really shines at 20+ watts on a good RDA.

I have a stainless steel vamo v5 that I use at work and I love it.
I use a protank 3 with 2ohm @ 3.5v and it's nice and warm.
Have vanilla mixed with cinnamon redhots in it.
It's solid, heavy, works perfectly and batteries last for days.

This is another area where the VAMO shines, the battery life compared to other mods is amazing.

If anyone is looking at a VAMO definitely spend the extra few dollars and get the stainless steel version, I didn't and regret it.

This pic is for those who say the VAMO is big (my out and about setup):

Vamo V3 is my first rig, quit smoking using it, I still use it even though I have 6 other rigs (got me a KTS+ from FT today)

All in all a VERY good device but the PWM in it leaves alot to be desired as it gives the "rattlesnake" vape but vapes good all the same.

The Vamo is the quintessential "budget" APV, but they work great

I also have a Vamo V5 and really like it. I did pick up a Lambo 6 after I got the Vamo which I also like. The Lambo needs 20 amp or better batteries which I use on both. I do find the Vamo works well with the higher amp batteries also hence the performance increase with a pair of stacked 18350 over a single 18650 in some cases. Battery life on both of mine is excellent by the way. For a comparison the Lambo goes from 1 watt to 20 watts with the same voltages of 3 to 6 volts. Lambo only works with 18650 batteries and is shorter than the Vamo at about the same diameter. The Vamo has Oled and the Lambo the older style screen. The Lambo is very inexpensive from Smoktek probably due to the bad review it got from PBusardo a while back which turned out to be he use standard amperage batteries in it and about 15 watts it didn't perform which turns out to make it work as it should. If I could only have one it would be the Vamo for other reason such as the single 350 mode for compactness and the removable cover on around the connector. Both work with all the clearomizers I tried including the old T3 type.
