Vamo V7 40w issues.

Hi all...
I've been using a vamo v7 30w (adjustable voltage) for quite a while. I've been having a hard time finding the 30w model and recently had to get the 40w (adjustable wattage) instead. Here's my issue... I'm using an 18650 3100 mah battery and a Micro Core ADC II, 1.5 Ohm Dual Coil, but no matter how low I set the wattage I immediately get a burned taste when I vape. Can someone please help me figure this out? My husband is going crazy trying to help me, but he knows nothing about vaping.

does it have 2 different power modes?? if it does, you may have it set in the wrong mode.. I do remember something about the later vamos having a second type of power mode.... if used incorrectly it will do dry hits quickly..
