Well I just got my VAMO, it works great so far, its the chrome one, I have noticed that when im using two 18350 that I have to turn down the wattage almost 1.5w to get the same performance as when I use one 18350, or one 18650, is this normal? I have not heard this from any of the other people on this forum, otherwise it is working pretty spectacular, for the price of 39.95 from exhalevapers it can not be beat in my opinion. Welcome any responses to this post, Thanx Guys and Ladies. Ron R

Vamo Bamo! I got mine yesterday. I love it. Congrats to you!

Somewhere I read that using the 18350's in series did have that effect and now I can't find it. The guy was saying how it gave him more power and others were saying there was no difference. If I run across it I will post the link. When I put mine in series it's pretty tight fit and I have the flat tops. I just tested and I do notice a little difference when vaping a vg caramel kettle corn. I have it down to 4.5w where I had it at 5w with the 18650. Thats pretty low compared to my other juices where Im around 7 or 8w. You got me curious to try others to see. But what I really want to know is why it would be true. It has to be giving it more amps.

I dunno...stacking 18350s, assuming it's done properly, does have an advantage versus a single 18650. I have both setups for my Vamo, 18350-800s and 18650-2000 Efests. I use the 18350s stacked and get almost exactly as much vaping time, measured by ml used, from them as a single 18650. I vape at, typically 6 watts in RMS mode.

The difference is the nominal 7.4 volts of the stack versus the 3.7 volts of the single. The boost circuit doesn't get used much, if at all. The boost circuit, by its very nature, is not particularly efficient and requires much higher current to operate than a "buck" circuit. A comparison of total available power shows 7.4 watthours for the 18650 versus just under 6, 5.92, for the stacked 18350s. So in terms of efficiency of the device at least, a stack of two 18350s works more efficiently.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it. Your results and mileage may vary. No warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied. Proceed at your own risk.
I didnt find exactly what I was looking for but this tells us why there is a difference. From the vamo batt thread.

One thing. Make sure you are in the RMS Mode. When you push and hold either of the adjustment (up & down) buttons for about ten seconds (a loooong ten seconds) it switches the device between AVG (Average) mode and RMS mode. Everyone including the manufacturers recommends using RMS mode. When holding the button down the display says Mode 2, that is RMS mode. If it says Mode 1, release the button, then hold it down for another long ten seconds and the display should say Mode 2. This is the RMS mode. You should only have to do this once as the device "remembers" what mode it is in even when changing batteries. However, mine has switched modes on it's own a couple of times since I have had it so, if it starts hitting really harsh check your mode. Hope this help quite it down a bit.:D

Thanx for the replies guys, I appreciate all the help I can get, i am new to the vamo but really like it so far. I thought I would get alot more kick out of it but it may be the juice I use is a high pg/vg ratio- 80/20, if I turn the wattage up past 5.5w or in vv mode 3.6 it starts to taste burnt already. I am using a 2.5 omh coil on a vape only bottom feeder. I am going to get another juice to try in it and see if it is the juice is not good for putting alot of power to it cuasing it to burn. Thanx Ron R

Ron R - It sounds like you are running in AVG (NO1) mode which can cause high, inaccurate power being supplied to your juice delivery device. Press either the "+" or "-" button down for over ten seconds. If it reads "NO2" you were previously in AVG mode and are now in RMS mode which is what you want. If it reads "NO1" you were in previously in RMS mode. Press the "+" or "-" button again to return to "NO2" RMS mode.

If you are getting burnt juice in RMS mode at such a low power setting it could be that your Vape Only device isn't wicking. If you don't get burnt juice on another device with your Vape Only you probably should contact your vendor as the power settings on a properly functioning VAMO in RMS mode are accurate.
