Ive now got a mod, a Vamo V5, Now Ive destroyed all my old tanks that I used on my spinners so bought a protank 3, great for 24hrs then I destroyed that, looked inside the box and the leaflet says that a 2.4 resistance can be used at 3.8 to 4.2V, I think I went up to 5V, Whats this all about, my Vamo goes up to 6V,and some times by accident (my fault) I got there. Ive looked around and most resistances are only sold up to 2.0, I haven't got a clue about Ohms, Im set to RMS, well except when I accidently changed it to mean, destroyed that tank, Has anyone got any idea how Im supposed to use this thing.

There is no lock out on the adjustment buttons for the Vamo V. If you are putting it in your pocket then you'll want to check it each time you take it out before hitting the fire button. If you leave it in a cradle, or coffee cup on your desk, you should have no problem.

I would recommend switching to a rebuildable, but I like fiddling with things and trying out different options. I'm also a cheap ....... and I'd rather pay $5-6 for a spool of 100' of wire and a bag of cotton balls than pay a dollar everytime I need a new coil.

With rebuildables I have yet to ruin a coil. I've burned a few wicks, but that's no big deal. My overall favorite is a Kraken with cotton wick and a single coil (1.6-3.0) ohm on top of my Vamo V or my Smok SID. Both mods have their pros and cons. Vapor is good, flavor is good, it's simple, and I'm happy. I have a pile of EVOD2, and Vivi Nova clearomizers that are getting lonely in their storage block. I don't much care for them anymore. I hardly ever even use my Naultilus either, but at least they let me adjust the airflow.

Edited: I forgot to add that you can just hit the fire button 5 times (sometimes 6) before stashing it and it won't adjust on you. You will have to wait for about three seconds when you pull it out and hit the button 5 more times to turn it on before you can hit the juice, but you'll save the coils that way.

What do you mean: destroyed tanks? Was it a bad burnt taste? Protank and most other tanks (clearos) have replaceable head (coil) that should be changed periodically. Have you changed coil?
Do not switch to rebuildables yet. You should know much more about vaping to use them, try first to figure out what is wrong with your protank. Do not rush to replace Vamo, it has nothing to do with your current problem.

Thanks for the replies, running my protank at 3.8 - 4.0V, with a decent double coil, if I offered any advice to a Vamo user is keep an eye on the Volts, its easy to accidently turn the Volts up and not realise, also goiing from 3V to 6V is easy if you click down button once, Be nice if Version 6 came with a lock to stop you doing this. incidentaly the local shop sold me coils from the V4, and yes they work, so all is good, a local "cheap" shop had a lot of quality juices in ai €1.50, Ive now got 6 months worth.
