Which other tanks do you like? I'm interested in some good single coil tanks that hold at least 5ml.
Depends on how you vape. I have an arsenal of kayfuns from the first generation up through the K5. If you're a mouth to lung vaper they are hard to beat. I've used a lot of others and few could touch those old standbys.
My vaping style now asks for just a more than they provide. I like a cool but very dense vape with a lot of volume. I'm no cloud bro kinda guy but I end up pushing MTL tanks further than they can realistically go and it's unsatisfying. Even the K5 is just a bit shy of keeping up for me personally. People who struggle to get flavor from TC probably need to learn to produce more of that cool vapor. The flavor can be had, lots of it in TC but I find I have to consume more juice to get there. I'm usually vaping at 390 on my hohmtech device and 400 to 420 on other TC devices.
The Kylin and the Ammit both shine as far as flavor in dual mode. Single coil mode wasn't impressive at all for me personally. In dual coil, say bye bye to that juice. It disappears really fast.
So...I've been using Aromamizers and Boreas for nearly a year. I did get the postless decks for the Aromamizer Supremes and it's pretty darn good with the right build. They do not really shine as well as tanks like the Ammit or Kylin do for flavor but it's close enough for on the go vaping. The Aromamziers are often for sale now cheap, especially used. I see them for ten bucks or so and those tanks are extrememly durable. They are some of the best tanks ever made. I've never replaced a part on my two and who knows how many gallons of juice have been through both. They have some updated versions to the original Aromamizer Superme but I have zero experience with those. I think one of them is 30 mm! With the postless deck you can position a 4MM alien or fused staple fairly high and get a nice single coil vape.
Right now I'm running Engine Nanos lately and they do very well. I've found a really nice build for them with a roll of wire readily available from Advanced Vape Supply. They don't meet your volume requirement though I'm really loving my Pharoah as well and it does hold more than 5ml. I don't have leaking issues and with the right large fused staple or large alien coil it is a vaping beast with very good flavor. With a mild build though the flavor is muted. It takes a big single coil and good use of TC to get it there. A bit too much vapor for me personally if you're not using TC and it just guzzles juice. I like it but it's possibly a bit much for vaping on the go if you're juice budget is tight. I don't want to get spoiled to that thing or it will make my other tanks useless.
I have high hopes for some Reload clones that should be landing in the next few weeks as well. They are supposedly best in dual coil mode though.
I hear good things about the Skyline but looking at it I can't help but think Kayfun and I'm not sure it would put out the vape I want. Plus, I don't know, all those little airflow disks seem like more stuff to keep up with and manage. I like having my adjustments right there on board. I'm not convinced that trying to produce tanks like this that will appeal to everyone is that clever. Even if it can produce a good direct lung vape the capacity can't keep up. Just make a tank that does one thing well and doesn't leak.
Well, I wrote a small book. Apologies.
