It does not matter as long as your wick is fluffed & touching the meshStill left with a question...are you keeping your wicking away from being compressed against the side of the post?

Cut your cotton straight fluff it & place against the bottom of the deck play around with it to cover the juice holes then trap the meshI mean as far as the cotton on the bottom its hard to fluff up as the deck is right underneath of it... So frustrating ugh!!!
That's correctIf I do see hot spots I just need to make sure the cotton is against the mesh correct?
Fluff & space your wick even with no space between the cotton & the meshhowdo you fix the hot spots
Good to hear that you figured it outWhat a fantastic vape!! This has the best flavour of all my rtas!!!
I don't own this tank, but use to vape genesis attys and the mesh had to be oxidized to eliminate any hot spots. Your question is, do you connect both sides of mesh first, or just one side, then add cotton, then secure other end of mesh...just don't know how you can work out hotspots and oxidize if the cotton is in there? Usually you need to glow the mesh first to oxidize and if you add cotton it would burn...so imo you do mesh first, pulse to oxidize and check hot spots, then add cotton......I know this isn't a genny, and could be different, but I think that's the way it should be done.Just got this unit yesterday and still in the experimental phase. So do you fasten both ends of the mesh and then fill the gap with cotton? The few reviews I have seen online they fasten one end of the mesh to the post then put cotton in the center and pull the mesh around... I seem to be getting good hits when the tank is full then when 3?4 full some dry hits and after that I get good hits its not consistent but when it does work man wicked taste!!
Thanks will try thatCut your cotton straight fluff it & place against the bottom of the deck play around with it to cover the juice holes then trap the mesh
Thanks yes I’ll dry burn the mesh before let it cool down and then wick itI don't own this tank, but use to vape genesis attys and the mesh had to be oxidized to eliminate any hot spots. So I wicked it again tonight and much better. Filled it up a quarter way so if I messed it up wouldn’t have to waste as much juice and used a crappy juice I had sitting around and wow amazing. So proceed to fill her up and first five pulls lots of spit back. In fact come to think of it every time I fill this thing up spit back... So 5-10 puffs later way less spit back. In fact now it’s baoing the best it ever has I took your advice and ran one end of my small scissor up and down the cotton and really fluffed it up but I think I’m not putting enough in as I’m getting spit back?Cut your cotton straight fluff it & place against the bottom of the deck play around with it to cover the juice holes then trap the mesh
Fill channel is too small, fill it on an angle & leave room for air to escapeproceed to fill her up and first five pulls lots of spit back. In fact come to think of it every time I fill this thing up spit back... So 5-10 puffs later way less spit back.

Could you post a pic of the new wicking technic ? So thought I had this sucker figured out last night vaped a full tank and it was amazing. Refilled it and some dry ish hits I’m getting now!! Wtf!!! So you fluff it out the cotton once it’s set in the mesh? So weird they aren’t completely dry hits I’m getting flavor but really harshNot the best picture, but if you look right above where the browning is on the cotton, you can see a slight elbow in the mesh that's pinching a small bit of cotton up against the side of the post. It's not enough cotton; therefore, it burns quick.
Just posting in case anyone else has a similar problem.
Since then, I've finally got this thing rocking and rolling. First was to have a much larger mesh loop. Second was making sure it was as evenly round as possible. From there, I followed Gallant's suggestions of taking my time to fluff it out once the cotton had been set in. I was also pulling the mesh too tight over the cotton. Loose is bad. But heavily compressed is equally as bad in my experience.
I hope this helps someone!
It has been a long time since I've been this in love with an RTA (probably the Lemo 1).

That sounds like a hot spot or a thin strand of cotton. Is your wick browning?
I'll try to get a pic posted. In the meantime, this is a decent build video (although i dont use a toothpick or needle for wicking):
Hey thanks for the reply !! I’ll have to check once I empty the tank. Giving it a break tonight lol. So what does that mean if my coton is browning ? Thanks for the video been searching YouTube high and low and never saw this one![]()
Thanks again for all your help going to attempt to re wick nowNo problem. I'm using a clear juice, so when I notice the wick browning (after only a tank or two) it's usually an indication that the cotton is getting burnt somewhere. In a vertical coil, it will even wick itself to the top and turn the whole thing dark/brown.
Hard to put into words, but speaking directly to this tank/post design, I think it's really easy to pinch small bits of cotton right against where the posts clamp together. In the video, he makes a point to clear the cotton away from that area. I don't think I was diligent enough on my first two wicks. Since then, I've done two more and it has worked flawlessly.
I'm surprised the review community wasn't jumping on this thing more immediately. I'm sure there's a lot out there, but this is relatively unique and from a reputable shop. I'm sure they'll all drop at the same time.
