Vanilla juice = commonly causes allergic reactions?

I started another thread asking about a reaction (throat swelling) I had to one of my liquids, and I wasn't sure which: the Cinnamon Sugar or Vanilla Rose. I thought it was the Cinnamon Sugar, but another poster said that a lot of people have reactions to vanilla liquids. I have Velvet Vanilla that I want to try soooo badly, but I'm afraid to :/ Has anyone else had an allergic reaction to a vanilla-only liquid? Has anyone else heard of vanilla commonly causing reactions in people?

I def have issues with cinnamon vapes...feels like my throat is closing up. I don't have any allergies to regular cinnamon, so I don't know what the issue is....

I wish I could be of some help, but I have vaped vanilla liquids without any problems. PG, and PG/VG mix no issues. The vanilla rose sounds bizarre. I would assume if you are not allergic to vanilla based foods you should be OK with vanilla liquids. Could be a PG or VG thing. Good luck and I am sure someone with more knowledge than me will chime in

That's scary, make sure your vendor is using food grade ingredients! Have either of you tried the vanilla or cinnamon flavors from more than 1 vendor?

If I vape too cinnamon it makes my chest a little tight feeling but I can keep it in my rotation as long as I'm not hitting it for hours at a time.

Vanilla Rose does sound good! Where did you find it Mama?

I have only vaped liquids from Velvet Vapors since a bad experience with Sinless Smoke (all PG, and I def had a sensitivity to that...I get 100% VG now). I have stayed away from vanillas, roses and cinnamons since that happened. I'm waiting on some liquids from VaporBomb (Chocolate Strawberry, which is my favorite from Velvet Vapors, and Waffle with whip cream), so we'll see how those go. I'm also waiting on some fruity liquids from Velvet Vapors. I still vape Bavarian Cream, Chocolate Strawberry, Caramel, Egg Nog, etc., with no problems so far.

I REALLY want to try my Velvet Vanilla. Ugh!

Thank you...and I wish I had some helpful info from you. I see that when you had your scare you were vaping 100% PG. Have you had any problems with any flavors since you switched away from PG? I'm not a Dr. (and don't play one on TV) but sounds like a sensitivity to PG, not necessarily a flavor.

The scare was while vaping VG. I had one issue with PG before, but that was a Sinless Smoke liquid. So far, I haven't had another issue besides that one time with the Cinnamon Sugar and Vanilla Rose.

And yes, Kat is awesome Turns out, so is Jerry from VaporBomb.

Oh I see, well I sure hope you get it figured out. It's gotta suck being afraid to vape something that sounds so delicious!

I haven't had the pleasure of working with Jerry at VB. There is really only one juice vendor I use anymore since I started making my own...but I still order from https://mstsbakery.com/ She doesn't do pure VG tho.

I definitely can't do PG at all. A friend of mine gave me one of her Blus last night because I didn't have my charger for my M401, so I came home, cleaned it and dripped my VG juices onto it. Well, even after boiling the atty, I didn't get all the PG from her carts out, and I woke up feeling like I had spent all night vaping sand. My charger came today (left it at my mom's and she had to mail it to me), so I went back to my M401 and I'm feeling much better. I'm just THAT sensitive, it sucks

I'm going to try the vanilla later on, when my roommate gets home, just in case lol.

Bovinia- If you want the Vanilla Rose, I'd be happy to trade or even just to let you have it. I just have to search for it lol. It really does taste nice, it just...almost kills me hahahaha.

Mostly though I think it may have been a PG + Vanilla related thing. I guess I honestly just can't put my finger on it.

Glad you are doing better though and are back to what works for you.

We do Bay area meets on occasion, get hold of me. It's always great to have new faces!

I'm hoping some of my liquids come today. I'm kinda tired of the ones I've had in rotation (I only have like 6-8 right now) and I'm ready for something new. And VG seems to work for me, I didn't wake up with the irritation this morning that I did yesterday. When I first started vaping, I had PG carts and liquid, and I HATED it. I actually spent the entire next day taking Mucinex and drinking soup. It was AWFUL. Then I found PG and things were all good

My daughter had a unusual reaction to cinnamon. I made homemade hard cinnamon candy and my daughter's lips swelled up severely. I think stuff with real cinnamon oil in it can be touchy to some ppl

I'd think that that would be more likely than the vanilla, but after what I've heard I can't be sure. I guess it's silly to agonize over it so much, I mean people are going to react to things that don't make sense and some that do. I guess my only choices are to either risk it and give it a try, or just avoid it. Bleh lol.

I would love to have the Vanilla Rose if you can find it, but I don't have anything that is PG free to trade. Even my DIY stuff is PG/VG mix
