Vanilla

Hi I could use some recommendations for a vanilla blend. Every mix I make w/ vanilla turns out tasting like vaping vanilla plastic. Here's a list of the vanilla's I have - some of these I have yet to try because they smell similar to the ones that end up tasting like wax. If you've used these and had a good or bad experience I'd appreciate the help and what percentage you suggest.

Vanilla - Nature's Flavors (haven't tried)
Vanilla Swirl - TFA (haven't tried)
French Vanilla - DIYFlavorshack (tried, ok, not great to me, subtle waxiness)
French Vanilla - TFA (haven't tried)
French Vanilla - Capella (haven't tried)
Holy Vanilla - DIYFlavorshack (probably the closest I've tasted so far, still a little short)

When I first starting vaping I had a 808 kit with vanilla pre-filled cartos from SmokeTip. I've been chasing that ghost ever since. I called them up to ask what vanilla they use in their base on the off chance they'd tell me, of course they didn't. They're almost worth getting an adapter to have another vape on w/ some vanilla flavorings to test it against.

You got me there. I have yet to find a vanilla I truly like either. Capella's French Vanilla reminds me of vanilla cake frosting, the butter cream kind... Vanillan doesn't have much flavor at all. Bavarian Cream is ok but more of a mixer flavor. Did not like VapingZone Vanilla Swirl. Have not tried TFA Vanilla swirl yet, but I've heard good things. (supposed to take like vanilla ice cream or something) (recommend at 10%)

Vanilla ice cream sounds excellent. I'll mix a batch of Vanilla Swirl @ 10% and let it steep overnight. Thank you Rin!

EDIT: The juice is mixed.. I gave it a scolding hot bath and a good shake. It smelled wonderful, and I couldn't help but try it IMMEDIATELY. I can tell the flavor will develop as it steeps, it has shifted in the small 5 minute window I've been vaping. It's initial taste is unlike any of the other vanillas I've tried so far. I'll keep you posted but this may become my new vanilla base...

Jimi D swears by the Hangsen Vanilla.

I just got a bottle, but haven't vaped it yet letting my Vanilla Cream (attempt) steep for awhile before trying.

I just ordered the TFA Vanilla Swirl, the site said this is our Vanilla Custard Flavor. I've also heard good things about it.

I added one drop per ml. Which was very strong, but very true to vanilla.

Over the last year and a half of 'sperimenting with some different ones, for me personally the best so far has been
8% capellas vanilla bean ice cream 80pg/20vg(or thereabouts) with 1 drop/10ml. of FW licorice to help enhance the flavour a bit. Sometimes, in some bottles, I'll add an extra drop or two of licorice as 3 drops/30mil. is barely noticable.(After steeping)

A 4 week steep time is mandatory before I decide if the mix is a go or if it's a NO, with vanillas imo. YMMV.

I have TFA Vanilla Swirl,Vanilla Bourbon,Vanilla Cupcake,French vanilla,Vanilla bean Ice Cream and think they are great flavors,Just got The Vanilla Bean and love it but I haven't tried the Vanilla Bourbon Yet,it is a dark color and smells just like vanilla extract everyone uses for cooking.Start them at 10%.They also get better each day of sitting or steeping.

I've been using Capella's which I think is good but not great. I have some of the TFA Vanilla swirl coming, should be here the first part of the week.

I can only suggest All About Vapor (TX) French Vanilla open cap and vent 2 days chuck in dark closet for a week and enjoy. Your mileage may vary. I am vaping this like a lab monkey right now at 3.8v on a clean viva nova 1.8 ohms. Pure Bliss.

I cant find that on the site but the Hangsen vanilla I ordered arrived today and smells delicious. I've got a batch steeping now...

I can tell it's going to be hard to determine a vanilla winner, so I got a vanilla showdown brewing at the moment. I've 3 bottles staged and steeping each around 10ml, that I'll review within the week depending on how long I leave them. The first is Hangsen, 10 drops in a 9ml 70/30 base, 2 drops sweetener. The second, 9ml 70/30 base, again 10 drops Hangsen, 15 drops RY4 double, 2 drops sweetener. The third, the contender, TFA's vanilla swirl, 9ml 70/30, 1ml Vanilla Swirl, 15 drops RY4 Double, 2 drops sweetener. I've already vaped Vanilla Swirl by itself and it was fantastic much better after steeping several days - but still incomplete, so I'll skip adding it to the showdown. Really I want to take away which one compliments the RY4 Double better, but if HS vanilla is tasty on it's own then I'll start experimenting it with other flavors like chocolate or licorice.

Does vanilla need to steep for 3-4 weeks? That may explain why I can't taste mine....frustrating
