Vanillin Crystals w/ PGA - ratio?

I haven't used vanillin crystals but if I did, I would try dissolving them in liquid first, same procedure as making menthol flavoring from crystals.

Someone wrote about making a saturated mix to ensure maximum strength and then using that as flavoring. You would crush the crystals first to make them dissolve faster, then add them to PGA or PG. Warm the container and shake it, then let it stand overnight at room temperature. If the mixture is saturated, undissolved crystals will be left in the bottom of the container; the base liquid just can't hold any more vanillin and the mixture is now at maximum strength.

To use, you would draw the saturated liquid off the top with a medicine dropper or pipette. To replenish the supply, you would add more base liquid and maybe a little more vanillin and repeat the mixing and letting stand process.
