This purpose of this post is to find out if I'm really in the minority
and to solicit replies from members who (like me) vape Anywhere
and Anytime they wish.

I'll kick it off...
I’ve been "heavily" vaping for over 4 years...I vape EVERYWHERE
and ANYTIME I wish. I flat do not care what strangers might think
or say. To tell you the truth...I have never even asked anyone or
any business if it is OK for me to Vape.

Not 1 person has ever told me that I can't vape anywhere. Of course
when I'm vaping, I don't look around sheepishly as if I'm committing
some kind of crime either.

Looking forward to hearing from other members who also vape anywhere
and anytime they wish :)

I havent been vaping nearly as long as yourself, but I personally wouldnt vape just anywhere. I vape when and where I used to smoke and with the same people, but as for say vaping in public places surrounded by strangers I would forgo just whipping out my SB and blasting some vapor around. I would hesitate to expose people to anything that they might not wish to be around ( even if its considered harmless ) and wish others would do the same in return ( like breastfeeding in public around my young nephew, or scratching your nuts while staring at the dunkin donuts menu)

I know what you mean.... I couldnt care less what people think about what I do, I just dont need to do it everywhere. If I was in a movie theater I wouldnt want the group in front of me chain vaping and clouding up my view. Also some people ( my wife mainly) doesnt like the smell and I still have to vape away from her so I can imagine other people would have the same dislike of vaping as they do with smoking. And thats their choice. I think people should open Vape bars where vapers can gather and be around others who are more into it. More power to you though.....vape where you want but respect what other people want as being as valid and equal as what you want.

Speaking of this, I go to a convention with my husband once a year, and we stay at a nice hotel. Smoking of course is not allowed in the rooms, so in the past I've had to make (very) frequent runs outside to smoke. It's not a particularly pleasant time of the year to be doing that even if I liked walking that much. lol. I was kind of looking forward this year to being able to vape, and not worry about it, but I came across some stuff online that made me think that vapeing might not be allowed either. Is it okay, or is vapeing not allowed in places like that?

Vaping anywhere and any time doesn't mean ignoring the obvious and doesn't mean
creating huge clouds of vapor to entice confrontations. I'm over 60 years old and
understand there's a place for stealth.

I don't go to church...but if I did, I wouldn't vape clouds in the front pew. Not because
I couldn't...but because of my personal choice. So there are places where I choose not
to vape (just like everyone else).

We have plenty of threads focusing on vaping here or vaping there...giving the impressions
that its OK to vape in other places than with smokers outside in the rain.

Looking forward to hearing from others who are not overly concerned about what
others may or may not think or say...The sooner those who vape stop acting
like smokers...the better.

Exactly.

Today, for me, vaping everywhere was in a train, a plane (2) an automobile (2) Airport terminals (3) the Admirals club (2) a grocery store and at Ruth's Chris when I had dinner. No one said a word.

EDIT: I forgot Costco

I don't vape any and everywhere, but I do vape in my home, in my car, in the parking lot and around others outside. I don't hide the fact that I vape. I am also happy to explain my pv to any and everyone who might ask…what is that?

Within your comfort zone. I don't think anyone should vape somewhere they are not comfortable doing so.

Short story...My daughter is not an ECF member

My 36 year old daughter gave up cigarettes and started vaping 3 years ago.
We attended a trade show last year and I was occasionally stealth vaping
(not hiding...just not creating clouds). I noticed my daughter across the
showroom floor vaping...(not stealth vaping). I walked up to her and asked
if anyone had said anything to her about vaping. She said only 1 person and
that person just simply asked her if it was one of those fake cigarettes.

Heck...No one in 3 years has ever even told her she shouldn't vape
The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...When she's vaping in public,
she doesn't act any different than when she's not vaping.

Maybe cause your older and have an edge?...I'm 23, and having just left my teens, I have always been conscious of not doing anything that promotes the image of today's youth being uncaring. Plus if I look like a teen, I feel like it will be assumed that I'm doing something wrong.

I vape just about everywhere. I also live in a county where it is illegal to vape wherever you can't smoke. I still vape in bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc., I just try not to bring too much attention to it. Several places have asked me not to vape in their establishment and as long as they are polite about it, I generally comply, however I will sneak a puff here and there. I have never been confronted by LE, but I have to be smart about it. Places I don't vape include client's offices, in front of customers, in meetings, or in other's homes without asking.

Did you find out anything more about this? Realistically, would they even know you had been vaping when they clean the room?

I'm getting more brave. I was hesitant at first, since I didn't really believe that there was NO smell. For the first several days, I kept asking my husband to make sure he didn't mind me doing this in the house.

It's all about comfort level.

I'm now vaping at stores, no issues. I'm still not comfy in restaurants, but I'm expanding on the lower end restaurants, like Chili's and such.

I've had zero complaints so far; since mid-November.

Mmmm....
I appreciate your open candor and reflections...
Age obviously is part of the equation. I do remember back when I was your age
and "fitting in" (concern about what others might think) was a big deal.

I wouldn't worry about it. Vaping won't make the room stink like smoking would. If it does leave an odor it likely wouldn't last for long or be that offensive. Don't sweat it.
