Hi,

I bought a new vape cartridge but it won’t work with the battery I have. The battery is charged and just flashes blue when it’s screwed in and pressed.

Do I need to buy a new battery?
Any info would be awesome. You can see the battery and cartridge in the photos.

I also suspect that your cart's resistance is too low. There is a good write up on this type of battery here. If the light blinks 3 times when you press the button with the cart screwed on it's likely low resistance, but read the whole page and see if there's anything else that might be the issue.

Don’t have a link for the cart. What Type vape battery would be good.

The cart you are using, I would actually call it a clearomizer, has a 510 connection with an air intake hole inside the connection. So any eGo style battery or mod would attach to it, as long as it has a vented 510 connection.

You really should know what resistance range your battery will operate and what resistance the cart you buy is, to make sure they will work together. I started with these eGo style batteries back in 2012 and if I remember correctly they need to stay at or above 1.6 ohms. The newer ones may go lower, the only way to know is from the documentation that hopefully came with the battery, ask your supplier, or know what signal the battery gives you when you go too low and try it. There is a feeling that if you run too close to the minimum you may shorten the battery's life.

I don't know what is on the market these days for your clearomizer so I can't help with suggestions. Just match the battery to the atomizer (or the atomizer to the battery) that you want to buy and you'll be good to go :)

Those type of 'eGo' batteries are designed for a particular clearomiser (not the one you are attempting to use). They're not very versatile and wont work if ; the atomiser you are attempting to use has a resistance too low for the battery, the connections between the battery and atomiser aren't making proper contact, the battery is not properly charged, the atomiser has a short circuit, the atomiser central pin is too wide for the battery, the battery has crapped out....
Probably time to invest a few more £'s on your kit if you want something more reliable.

The center pin in the middle of the battery is way too low to make a good electrical connection with the atomizer. Use a tool to "tease" the center pin up like in this video. Over tightening your atomizer can cause the pin to go into the battery.

A blinking battery may also indicate that the atomizer has a short circuit. Discard and replace with a new atomizer.

Am I the only one that realizes that that's a THC cart?
I was going to mention that... and that they usually tend to be high ohm so an ego battery should work just fine... it's the type of battery i would recommend for that. Running it with a newer mod at a higher wattage would burn it out.

I agree about prying up the center pin. If that does not work try a different similar battery. If it still does not work then you have a bad cart.
