Dont know if anyone is interested in this but vape Escape in Montgomery is selling counterfeit Kanger ProTank's. Purchased one there last week and being relatively new to vaping, I did not know how to spot an authentic Kanger Product. Found out how on another forum and thought I would pass this along here.

Not a fan of the pro tanks or evods but still like the t3.How can you tell, does it say kangertech on it?

Here is what I found out ...

Look At The Picture Below ...

Fake Tank.jpg

1. First obvious difference is the authentic one has the KangerTech logo on the bottom part of the tank. The fake does not.
2. Second the knurling on the base is a different pattern
3. Third the fake is just a tiny bit shorter than the authentic.
4. Also the threading on the fake is much more rough than the authentic. The authentic base unscrews smoothly. The fake is kind of rough.

Are they saying that they're genuine?

Being that I am new to Vaping, I dont recall them saying it was authentic but I did not bring it up either. At that time I did not know there was such a thing as a "fake" ProTank.

A guy I met at Lawsons says the glass and metal will separate when in a plane at 30k feet on the imitation Kanger Tank.
