Hi everyone,

I know there are threads out there that discusses "vape fatigue" or "vape tongue" but none in the new members section for new members in ECF such as myself. I'm getting pretty tired of this vape fatigue and hopefully this thread will help other new members as well!

Things i've tried:
- Coffee (Drinking them and smelling them)
- Water (I always have plenty of water)
- Eating sour stuff
- Drinking 7up, gatorade etc.
- Tongue scrubbing (I do it by default)
- Mouth gargling
- I switch my flavors (between 2 or 3 a day)

It's been about 2 weeks now and I'm quite desperate to find out if there are other remedies that have worked.

I found when I first started vaping after giving up smoking it would happen way more than it does now. After about 4 months when my taste returned I've not really had it since. This may not be the case for you but I thought I'd share.

Possibly not the "right" Juices (Maker and/or Flavor, VG/PG mix, Nic level, etc.) to "Flip your Switch" yet.....

It took over a year and a half (and TONS of wasted attempts) before I finally settled into a 6-7 Juice Norm.
Still I get a different one from another Source @ every other Month to see if it will Bump an Oldie out.
Don't limit the Discovery Process and Enjoy the Journey's failures and successes.

A lot of people will vape straight unflavored VG for a few days to let their tongue reset.

Vape unflavored for a day or two, and your taste should come back. It worked well for me when i got vapor fatigue/tongue. Also, try and stay away from EM, as that seems tk be a culprit for fatigue (atleast for me).

rotating flavors during the day helps - have you tried gargling with salt water or listerine (i noticed you had quite the list of attempted remedies, lol)

vaping unflavored to 'rest' your palate is probably a good idea for a couple days

Vaping unflavored helps immensely as does gargling with salt water. You are doing everything else right! Drinking lotsa water is a big key always!

I've gargled with Listerine and I'm gonna try Salt water next! (Yuck) I've been rotating my flavors and so far I can only taste 2 flavors right. Pineapple and Apple crumble. I haven't gotten the chance to get some unflavored juice yet. Hopefully by some form of miracle, I hope to taste my juices after gargling with Salt water (Ergh).

Thanks everyone for your help! I'm sure newcomers that recently stopped smoking analogs would somehow experience this and your comments are helping us newcomers out greatly!

Either I naturally mitigate the effects of vapers tongue (I eat a lot of spicy food, I drink a lot of coffee, I brush/gargle daily, etc.) or it just doesn't seem to affect me that much.

I vape almost exclusively one or two flavors. Sometimes I'll stick with one flavor for weeks at a time. In general, all my flavors are fruity flavors, and yet I very rarely notice a flavor begin to diminish. Hm.

I was getting extreme vape fatigue after first quitting tobacco. Even the menthol flavor I was using was often unrecognizable. I partly attribute that to severe damage to my tastebuds from years of tobacco use.

Luckily since then I have acquired more tanks, and currently have multiple ones. Three of which are basic aspire.BDC tanks. This way I can easily switch flavors throughout the day as desired. This has almost completely solved my previous fatigue issues.
Though days that i vape a larger amount of juice, the fatigue can still set in no matter how much I switch. Taking breaks, brushing teeth and drinking water help when this happens.
Good luck!
