Vape is not working and is skipping the timer on screen.

Hey guys,

I have smok G150 Battery mod and I've stopped using it for a few months (it was working fine before) then after I came back and charged it again, charging it took more time than expected and never got over 95% percent. Then when I tried it, it didn't heat the juice or make sound or anything. The screen is working fine but when I hit the button to vape the timer doesn't count the seconds until when I left my finger off the button the timer skips into how many seconds I was pressing the button. I tried to fiddle with it a bit and I got it to work again after restarting a few times, but then it stopped working again same problem so I changed the coil. And still I can't find a way to make it work again. I tried every settings, and I am sure that the tank is connecting probably since the mod is recognizing it.

I fear that the battery is dead, but it is still new. I used it for couple months only before stopping for a while.

You might try a reset, the hole between the usb connector and the menu buttons is a reset button, use a pin, wire or straightened paper clip to depress the reset for more than 10 seconds.

If that doesn't work time to find a new better power device.

SMOK mods don't have the best reputation for reliability or durability. Should you find you need a new mod, don't get another SMOK.

Yeah I tried reset and it didn't work. and I just noticed the Voltage and it says 0.048 so I am guessing the power mod is dead

I tried another cord. same thing, and I don't have another wall wort unfortunately.

If it were me, I'd say it is done for/kaput,no reason to put more effort into it, lesson learned avoid smok power devices.

Yeah I guess there's a lesson there. No money atm though to buy a new power mod so maybe next month :l

Sorry for your misfortune. Perhaps use the next couple of weeks to research for a better mod.

SMOK make flashy looking cheap mods, unfortunately they are not made to last.

If budget is a concern Smoant, aspire, Geekvape, Vaporesso, and Innokin are brands that are pretty reliable. There might be a few asmodus reborn and minikin 1.5 left on clearance. The Minikin 2 also goes on sale regularly.
