Vape meet

Ok I ask this question for the ones that have been to the big vape conventions, I can only afford to go to one considering I have to travel since there is none in Ohio . So my question is this if you had to choose only one to go to which one would it be?

I can't help you with your question, but thought I'd put forth an alternate idea. Have you considered hosting a home vape-meet? No, it won't be a big affair with lots of crazy mods, but it could be a great way to strengthen your local vaping community.

My wife and I are in the middle of planning a vape meet at our home. We know a few vapers in the area, and they know a few, and we all know some folks that are on the fence about quitting smoking. We are asking everyone to bring some of their favorite juices they are willing to share and will be giving away some juices as door prizes along with a few eGo starter kits for a few lucky converts.

On top of that, we get to have a nice pot-luck and get to know some new people. We are finalizing the guest list and will be ordering up some sample packs in the next week!

If he's never been to a meet, hosting one is a pretty big leap lol. Unless you know several vapers anyway...

Why not find something as close as possible and then maybe you could hit a couple? Seems like going to 2-3 an hour away would cost as much or less than going to one several hours away. I think there's a sub forum for area specific discussion, and lots of people make Facebook groups for say "Ohio vapers"

Hmmm... there's three I've had wonderful experiences with.

Vapercon (Richmond VA), Vape Bash (Chicago), and VapeXpo (Ann Arbor MI).

Easily googled if you need more info

Given that you are in Ohio, VapeXpo is this weekend and easily driven to. Vapercon is the oldest, and keeps trading hats for the "biggest" with Vape Bash (Windy City Vaper's Club). VapeXpo is a little more intimate, and has a larger proportion of "locals" than the other "national" meets. Vapercon and Vape Bash are more "tradeshow".

I like all three.

The other one. Seriously they are tied for me. I'm a WCVC member and a former VapeTV host with lots of friends at both. No way to call it. They are equal in most respects.

Vapercon will have more VERY old school vapers at it due to it's east coast location and the age of the event. CASAA also holds a face to face member meeting and usually a face to face board meeting at the event (That's a plus to me being involved with CASAA).

Vape Bash will have roughly the same set of vendors as Vapercon... but it's a Chicago feel. Actually held in the Chicago metro area. Large contingent of "Do's Guiss"- I'm one of them Great food, better hotel than the last Vapercons. Chicago is where I grew up so it;s really comfortable for me.

To me it's a toss up. If I could only go to one, I'd go to .... no idea. I might need therapy trying to figure it out since both events were epic.

But definitely check out VapeXpo (watch the spelling when googling). I really enjoy VapeXpo because it got half the attendees than the other events last year. Which was fine by me. I actually got to hang out a lot and see friends, make friends, and vape. The other events are epic... but it's a CROWD!!

Thanks Im going up Saturday and checking it out, for the other two I think Chicago is closer to me so that might be the one I go to.
