Do - "You" mean using the Cool Fire 4 to vape while it is charging - which is more commonly known as "Pass-through" . . .

If so - well after doing a little research on the internet and ECF with just the words "Cool Fire" & "Pass through" I found that . . . Yes - "You" can use a Cool Fire 4 as a "Pass-through" with no ill effect on the battery (although it may get a little warm - so be careful) given the technology that @innokin has incorporated into the Cool Fire 4 . . . SO "You" would be Good to go . . .

Hope this was helpful, but if Ya' want to make sure - Someone else will probably also provide an answer too . . . ;)

I believe the short answer is yes.
You can take a vape while the unit is plugged in, but it's better on the battery if you don't chain vape while plugged in.

Relaxation time between charge and discharge is recommended for lithium batteries.

Just one more reason why having a backup mod is a good idea.

"Pass-through" is actually used incorrectly all the time with mods. Innokin wisely (imo) calls it more accurately "vape while charging" technology (at least in my MVP 3.0 Pro manual).

True passthrough would not be very useful over USB for many modern vapers, you'd be limited to .5a-1a whatever the device / wall wort could support.

An example of a true passthrough device that is usefull for modern vapers would be something like a 20A Raptor 12V passthrough.
