I like vape Wild. Really I got into this hoping to save some money too. I bought a DIY kit from Liquid Barn over a month ago. Last night I mixed up 10 single flavors in one shot like a production line of sorts.
They haven't had time to steep properly, however, just the small sample drags/pulls I've tried on some of them are just about as good as the fresh stuff I've gotten from VW.
Once they steep properly I'm betting they will be every bit as good if not better than the budget juice vendors.
Liquid Barn is just one of many that sells DIY kits. Have you thought of or have any interest in DIY?
I know I'm going to be giving this a serious attempt now.
VW is just one of many companies. Maybe they just aren't for you? I know I've tried juices others have raved about and I just don't find them to be all that good. Different tastes for different folks!
I have noticed with some of the VW flavors you have to use them at just the right time. Some get better with time and others get just blech, in my opinion.

So to all the DIYers out there, why do their juices always taste off? Is it quality control or cheap ingredients?

I find a lot of times with juice makers - it's a combination of 4 or 5 different elements.

1.) Cheap or dirty PG / VG. When I purchase my VG or PG the container should be CLEAN AND FREE OF DEBRIS. The liquid should be CLEAR and free of DEBRIS! If you purchase VG / PG and it comes in a METAL CAN... chances of it having a funky taste is approximately 99%. Metal corrodes naturally - be wary of that. All of my VG / PG comes in brown PLASTIC containers - can't say I've had any issues with the flavor... AT ALL!

2.) Crappy Nicotine. Nicotine OXIDIZES! FAST! VERY FAST! If the company mixing their juice TAKES THE CAP OFF THEIR NICOTINE - it will develop a very nasty taste if allowed to sit exposed to oxygen for too long.

3.) Crappy flavorings. 'Nuff said.

4.) OVER-FLAVORING - this is the culprit of most issues. Some people don't think it tastes good enough so they add EXTRA flavoring to an UNSTEEPED liquid resulting in over-flavoring. Sometimes it tastes like licorice, sometimes it tastes like dirt, and sometimes it tastes like old engine oil. Depends on the flavors used and how much of each flavor they've added. And yes... I know what old engine oil tastes like due to the number of times I've had to change an oil filter and a head gasket. Surprisingly that car still runs!

5.) Under-flavoring - SEE OVER-FLAVORING - BUT REVERSE the issue.

If you put dirty VG or PG in a juice, combined with OVER-Flavoring... you are going to get some pretty ...... off people. Same thing with using dirty / contaminated Nicotine. It's going to come out bad. And most companies will try to cover it up by adding more of one thing or another. If you don't believe that nicotine oxidizes things - take a steel or iron nail, put it in a glass of pure nicotine - and set it outside. You'll see. It will chew the crap out of that nail in a few days.

I've been vaping about two years now, I find them tolerable.. Now ahlusion I find totally unvapable for me hut highly praised here.. Too each there own I guess. I palate must just be trash LOL.

Some companies seem to go through spates of loads of posters on here all talking about them at the same time and putting in unusually large orders of which they post pictures of for $$$$$$'s and it does make me wonder if they're genuine or shills. I'll name no names.

I've tried most of the gourmet juices in B&M stores and some at home and find them over hyped and over priced. It's PG, VG, nicotine and some food flavouring. Ta Da. Probably costs $1 a bottle and sold to us for $22.... That's some mark up....

Different liquids for different tastes. The key is finding what you do like.

Also, your tastes change over time. I've tried stuff from a very popular vendor and didn't like it. It just didn't suit me. Tried from another popular vendor and that one did.

Some people like Brussels sprouts, some people can't stand them. We wouldn't have so many options if everyone had the same tastes. ;)

So I recently decided to give Vape Wild another chance after giving up on them a while back. I ordered a bottle of Sweet Complexity and Bombshell Batter both Max VG and 1.5mg nic. When I first got them the first thing I noticed was that they both looked exactly the same, smelled exactly the same and tasted exactly the same. Not a good start. I let them both steep for 2 weeks in dark drawer shaking once a day. Even after this neither one changed color or smell at all. I suspect that the 2 bottles I got of SC and BB are the exact same juice. Ugh.

I decided to give it a go today and popped some Sweet Complexity in a tank. Ugh. Plastic/no flavor/slight sweetness. Not good. Not bad, but not good. Their juices are always a disappointment. No amount of "steeping" is going to change this. My problem with Vape Wild is that they mock "Premium" juice makers which is all good but at least make sure your juices can compare to those "Premium" vendors. I have been vaping 2 juices from 2 different "Premium" vendors for over a year now and I have never had a quality issue with any of these. Every time I order them they are always on point. Why can't Vape Wild do the same?

I'd rather pay a little extra and know what I am getting than have to roll the dice to save a couple of bucks and hope that the kid mixing my juice got the recipe right.
Vaped off 10 small bottles and was disappointed on all fronts.

Not my cup of tea either.

I'm convinced that either:

A: Vape Wild pays people to promote their juice.

B: Many people really don't know what good ejuice tastes like.

C: Vape Wild has created robots and programs them to say good things about them on this forum.

I have done everything in my power to like Vape Wild. Steeping, different ratios, and even their pre steeped line. It's not good juice. Like my old Grand Pappy used to say. You get what you pay for and nothing in life is free.
LOL

To each their own, I guess. I tried a new juice today that had been steeping for almost a month from VapeNW, and found it tasteless. I ended up dumping the tank after a few hours and filling it with Snipes from VW.

I haven't loved all of their flavors, but through them, I have discovered a preference for fruit flavors (which I never would have guessed before), and I do love several of the ones I've tried.

In all honesty their juices aren't THAT bad, but all their juice is spoiled by using a cheap base that gives their juice a harshness and a specific taste, it's hard to describe if you've tried them you'll know what I mean. I've tried 18 of their flavors all have the same problem also tried different strengths of Nic, same deal.
