Well, thanks, you brought out some points I haven't considered. I'm not too worried about diacetyl but don't like to be misled. Maybe their eliquid flavoring suppliers are lying to them.

I've never worried about it either, but I don't like creams and custards and
cinnamon I only use in one flavor (MBV sticky bun). But it's increasingly
a concern with members I've seen so it is a big deal. Shrug.

mcol: Hi! Thanks for the words of wisdom. I have mixed feelings about the regulations...and I figured there were companies that were claimed things that were not true...it still disappointed me though...but what can you do. Definitely thank you for the other information though - I always wondered about the stellar reviews...there was one site that I bought juices from (because they are fabulous in the price points for the equipment) but I found their juices to be un-vapeable, despite the glowing reviews....and I absolutely didn't know about the "front men" issue...so thanks! Unfortunately, I might have a problem staying away from custard/dessert juices b/c I LOOOOOOOOOVE them... :D

Bikenstein: Hi! Hrm....how to answer your question...Truthfully, I doubt it's a ... verified lab or the like... Let's just say... "a friend of a friend of a friend" works at a lab that has a gas...chrom...something...one of those machines where you put a drop of a liquid in and it shoots out a report that shows everything that's in it...So...I didn't pay anything for it...I have no idea if this makes this less "legit" so to speak...but it did come back saying it had diacetyl. To be quite honest, I smoked cigarettes for over 20 years...and I figure even with the concerns about diacetyl - it's still a step up from the gazillion toxins in the cigs...I'm more bothered by the (seeming) disingenuous statements made by a company that I liked.

Front man was the only word I could think of at the time, ha. It's more dramatic sounding than
what it is. But yeah gotta be careful out there. Just take reviews, comments, posts with a grain
of salt and instead place smaller orders first then decide for yourself.

OK, a friend of a friend of a friend who works at a lab with one of those things versus a registered forum supplier since 2011. Thanks :) just teasin you. I don't know how "legit" any vendor's or flavoring supplier's lab tests on diacetyl are. But I believe that the major flavoring suppliers are doing there best to provide us with safe juice. (Until somebody proves otherwise:) ) I understand your concerns and think you did good tryin to get the juice tested as I would do myself if I had the opportunity. Please post their reply if you get one. Regardless of all claims by any, I'm vaping at my own risk because it's still unknown if vaping is healthy even without diacetyl. But I, like you, believe it is a big step up from cigs.:) I have to get an order in to VW today, runnin low on my favorites.

LOL Bikenstein - Yeah...I know...re-reading it...it is rather ridiculous...like that phone game I used to play as a kid...

Ok - So...here's the skinny. I spoke to a rep of the company - and I WILL say who it is when all is said and done...because they will get accolades from me for doing what they needed to or because I want people to know they are giving misinformation purposely on their website and through their representatives. Anyway...I did "chat" with a rep who said that as far as the company knows they ARE diacetyl free and that the issue is on the supplier's end. The gentleman I spoke with told me to email a person, who I am assuming is a head of company-type, as soon as possible so they could clear it up. We'll see. I'll let everyone know what happens...Right now VW is my only juice....so I'm hoping they are on the up and up as are their suppliers....But...like I said...even with the D...it's still better than cigs...so...I guess I"ll deal with that fine...

Oh...and so I'm not totally highjacking this thread...

Flavors Vaped from VW so far:

Pina Colada - Out of the box, it had a wicked perfume if I french inhaled it...after 2 weeks of steeping, perfume is gone and it's awesome if you like the drink.
Mutha Custard/Circus Bear - I know it gets high marks - and I got this as a freebie so I'm still vaping it...but...even with steeping...don't think it's my favorite...maybe just a hair too much banana for my tastes....but that's just me.
Dutch Apple - After smelling it and finding it to seem to be waaaaay too weak...I let it steep for over 3 weeks...omg. I LOVE this...I get all of the flavors...the crust...the cinnamon...the apple...it's awesome. I love it.
Luck of the Irish - It's good...it might just be a little too subtle for my tastebuds....I could get hints of the coffee and liquor...but not really strong...even with steeping.
Sweet Complexity - I ordered this b/c of the rave reviews here...I haven't tried it yet...it's been steeping for almost 4 weeks...but the general consensus seems to be the longer the better with that one...so since I still have some other VW's to try and to finish...I'll let that one keep building.

:)

Damn, youre making me wish I'd tried Dutch Apple! Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be one of my freebies making its way now through the pony express (USPS)! LOL!

Thanks for the reviews, and I agree with the general consensus on Sweet C... I didn't like it at all OOB, after 3 weeks steep I cannot put it down! Gotta re-order that next time and put it in the steep dungeon for a month plus!

My wife had her first day of vaping today at work... she doesn't like any of my flavors and wanted a tobacco only flav, I got her a 12mg tobacco flav last night and she liked it! She stuck with it all day and didn't cave in and buy a pack of cigs! She also had her first spill when she tried to take the tank off to put it into the ego case I gave her! LOL!

Pina Colada sounds nice to me!

That's good to hear, I just put some in my order to try.Circus Bear Custard. I asked Seema about why they changed the name and she said cause it was cute?

I was thinking maybe cause it's close to Mutha F. I mean, I personally don't care about that and prefer the original name but it vapes so nicely I'll buy it with any name. Slap on a plain white label with Strawberry + Banana + Custard scrawled on it in crayon and I'll buy it.

LOL!

I loved OCC OOB, but didn't care for the juice formerly known as Mutha Custard OOB. I've had it is the steep dungeon for 3 weeks now and may revisit it later! I am a custard lover, and I too would like to see a report on diacetyl content in not only VW's stuff, but all ejuice manufacturers!
