I've had pretty good success soaking the coils in near boiling H2O and refilling the HOT water several times over the course of 4-6 hours. Then dry completely. Also the ST coils can be easily rewicked. I prefer koh gen do (AKA: Japanese cotton). I use a toothpick to poke the existing wick out... gently. Then if the coil is really gunked up you can pulse it to heat it up and stick it upside down into h2o while still hot. Re-wick and go at it again.

BTW - since you like many of the VW flavs I do, give the strawberry cheesecake a whirl! Tis yummy!

Thanks! I'm pretty new at this stuff and I have yet to attempt rewicking myself but I have watched some people do it lol. I placed a second order and I definitely went for the Strawberry Cheesecake. I ordered that and On Cloud Custard in multiple vg/pg ratios so I can see the difference. I want flavor and big clouds!

...A couple questions -
While they are breathing should I pop out the needle tips to allow for better air flow?
For those of you who have tried these before - should the steep be two weeks from arrival or two weeks from the born-on date?

View attachment 416065

I do pop out the needle tips but they are a BEAR to remove! I also set them on top of my cable modem to warm them and accelerate the steep process slightly.

I shake every 1-2 days and open each bottle, give them a squeeze or 2 (or 3) to exchange air and allow fresh air in.

Personally I log the date shipped (born date) and steep everything now for 2 weeks. I have so much juice now that 2-3 week steep is easy! LOL!
It's not a hobby, its a costly addiction! LOL!

This is an important step in steeping. I take the tips out also for 24 hrs to let the juice breath and help dissipate chemical odors and taste such as alcohol based flavors. Then I put the tips back in and " squeeze and shake" everyday. Some people can't tell a major difference in steeping but if it wasn't beneficial then so many would not be recommending it, especially the maker of the juice. I've had 2 completely unvapable RY4's (not VW's) take 6-8 weeks before I could vape them. They both became very nice flavored pleasant vapes. I might try the modem warmin thing but one day I'm goin to try my ultrasonic cleaner. :)

Who wants to help me find a Non Sweet juice? All my stuff is sweet, which is fine, but, I want a change of pace with something completely not sweet.

What about the Turkish?
I'm out of Turkish right now but as I recall it had a rich Tobacco flavor with just a hint of sweet coming from the VG, I guess. I get my tobaccos in a high PG 35/65 or 20/80 for this reason plus the throat hit. It's not what I call a sweet flavor by any means just a nice smooth rich tobacco.

Definitely an addiction. I spent a ridiculous amount of hours last night reading these forums and flavor descriptions on VW so that I could place another order. I saw someone else posted the 20 or so juices that they bought & I felt a little better about the amount that I bought too. As for warming them, I thought they were supposed to steep in a cool, dark place? Thanks for the tips on airing them out too!

I'll be interested to see how you like yours.
I will be ordering it monday from cactus esmokes, from what i have read and talked with the owner,he ships out pretty much same day,so i will have it next week. Can't wait to try it out,i've been watching alot of good reviews on it,so definitely looking forward to it.
One flavor that I haven't seen talked about much in this thread is Strawberry Cheesecake, which I just sampled 15 minutes ago. It's been breathed, steeped in the dungeon for 18 days, and shaken every one to two days.

Now I like strawberry, but I find that most eliquids use too much of it. I hated Unicorn Milk for example, and its one of the best selling eliquids around. Way too sett and too heavy on the strawberry for me. This VW StrawCheesecake isn't one of those; its great and a perfect blend! Since I am such a fan of SmurfCake, I had to try this and I'm liking it a lot. So far every cheesecake and custard VW flav I've tried is better than most "gourmet" flavs I have tried or purchased. Just like Smurf this is rich, smooth, and very creamy; with just the right touch of strawberry. I'll be ordering a larger bottle once I get through more of my samples!
I may have to give that strawberry cheesecake a shot.I'm not big on strawberry vapes, but i love circus bear,so if the cheesecake uses that same strawberry flavor, then it should be really good.I have a sample of banshee that forgot about until today,so i will be checking that out here very soon haha,if it's good then i will buy a bigger bottle of it and throw a sample size of the strawberry cheesecake on that order.
I've got the full size. Haven't tried the mini. The only thing I don't like about it is the cost of the replacement coils. Although they are easy enough to rewick. I find the airflow of the RBA base to be really restricted. It's not bad, I just like an airy draw. My favorite tank that I have so far is the billow. Costs a little bit less than the subtank, easy to build and has loads of flavor. I can also run it with more wattage than the subtank if I choose, although I prefer to stay in the 15-20 range. Only thing my subtank has over it, is capacity and plug and play use :)

Yeah,i usually like a pretty airy draw, but i am finding with some flavors,i like them more with a bit of a restricted draw.I have several rba's that are very airy draw, several orchids, etc. but i like the idea of the occ heads for the subtank, that way if i need to recoil and feeling lazy,i can just pop one in and go haha.I will probably use the rba head most of the time to save money, but will keep some heads on hand for it as well.I also like that you can get those prebuilt heads with nickel wire for he dna 40 temp control.I have a spool of the nickel wire, but haven't messed with it yet,so i will probably grab a pack of those heads as well.

Warming will speed up the steeping time but will also change the flavor somewhat over cool steeping and that can be good or bad. I've never tried the modem but usin warm water works also. It will also affect the nicotine in your juice. There are a lot of steeping threads and many many opinions and methods. I think that VW puts enough flavor in their juice to make for a good vape fresh. But some of the background flavors being at smaller percentages will need steeping to come out.:2c:

With 3 grandkids (1 lives with us) and the other 2 over nearly everyday... 24 hours is too long to avoid spillage for me. LOL!

Which is precisely why I do the breathing on the warm modem overnight instead. I do the squeeze and shake each day (nearly) with all my new stuff.

I have found that most (not all) flavors do in fact get better with that 2-3 week steep. It makes sense to me if you like aged whiskeys and scotch, its a similar process to let the flavors blend. For example, I find OCC is good enough to vape outta da box, but even better after 2-3 weeks... it just is.

I keep a log book of all my initial tasting, and taste/log again at 1 week, 2, and 3 (if it wasn't good at 2). I find it extremely helpful to review the differences I notice as time passes. I suggest everyone do the same.

I keep logs on my diy juice and steep results but that's so I can reproduce them or make changes. I don't need to do that with VW juices. If they make it 2 weeks fine 3 or 4 better. 2 days, oh well :)

Have a question guys I just got my 120ml of sweetcomplexity and 60 caramel apple I usually do 50/50 I took a chance with 65VG. Sweet complexity is one of my all day vapes, and it was a little too sweet so I'm guessing hopefully by going up in VG it will be in my favor my first time going out of my comfort zone lol. just wondering if you guys Have tried the same flavor from them in different ratios How big of a flavor difference it really is. Crazy first company I order big bottles and know I'm going to like it no matter what. I love their Apple so I ordered a 60 of caramel apple and again it's an Adv for me. I also threw in Dutch apple pie which I wanted to order next time so can't wait to try that.vw is amazing.. and thank you guys

There's only one way to find out for sure. :vapor:

I don't log shakes and cap offs, I just note taste and compare it to my earlier notes. Some flavs like Circus Bear (the juice formerly known as Mutha Custard) need more than 3 weeks for my pallete. This way when I order I know how long to steep that specific flavor for my taste, or when to order when I'm getting low on a fav or ADV.

Yes, when I get into DIY I will keep huge amounts of data on mixes and taste tests, I'm .... like that! LOL! :)
