VapeCan Toronto - Good Deals?

Status

Hello everyone,
FYI - Im fairly new to the vaping Scene so please bare with me.

I see that there is a VapeCan in Toronto Aug 9/10th. Im looking to upgrade my battery. Maybe a Provari or iTaste SVD (not sure which yet as Im still reading and only have about 1,000 more pages to read through :p).

DO YOU THINK that there will be some good deals at VapeCan and do you think anyone will be selling Provari's ?

or.... Will the prices be as usual?

Like I mentioned, Im new to all this and Im not sure what to expect. However, if I can pick up a Provari for cheap that would be awsome.

Anyone Know?

If the MVP had an Ohm meter and/or variable watts, it would probably be the perfect device. I've been using mine for a few days now and while I'm EXTREMELY happy with it, those two things would make it 1000 times better.

I've thought about an SVD, but just don't want to deal with the hassle of a removable battery. I like the plug n play simplicity of the MVP and VV iTastes.

Can someone explain to me the advantage of VV/VW batts? Want to know what the deellio is before I head to VapeCan!!

Do a quick google search on Ohms Law and calculations between Ohms, Volts, and Watts.

Variable Voltage (VV) uses controlled circuitry to change the output voltage of the device through various means (buck boost, pulse width modulation etc. varies by device). Higher voltages (in vary basic terms) means the coil gets hotter faster (Higher Watts). Most juices have a sweet spot in Watts where you get the most flavour and vapor production. Too low and the flavour is muted, too high and the flavour is burnt. VV Devices allow you to dial in the flavour of your vape. If you change toppers (Atty/Carto etc), you will need to adjust your voltage to that new topper to give you the same results.

Variable Wattage (VW) allows you to set the Watts on your vape. VW Devices detect the resistance of your coil, and automatically adjust the voltage to give you the specified Watts. This allows you to set a wattage level that works well for a certain juice and change your atty/carto on the fly without any further adjustment needed. If you know you like vaping a specific juice at 10 watts, no matter what topper you put on your battery, it will be vaped at 10 watts (As long as the hardware supports it). This method requires a lot less mucking around when changing your topper.

Most new devices are going to VW as it's easier to use, and requires less frequent adjustment.
