I've just received a couple of RM2's as well as an Orange Mini 2.1 in the mail. If you feel like it's tl;dr the verdict is WOW!! If not, read on (sorry about the quality of the pics, an expert not am I.
So, here's the family:

Needless to say, I'm extremely pleased with the Black Box (i.e. the orange Reo... y'know flight recorders...
).
As far as the RM2's are concerned, I was surprised to see that the airholes lined up perfectly without any washers. Has something changed?
Anyway, 10 minutes after opening my vapemail, I slapped a microcoil together. I'm in Europe so everything is metric, but semi converted I used a 0.3mm kanthal (between 28/29 gauge), on a 1.69mm wire (0.09mm thicker than 1/16 (at least microcoil territory)), and ended up with this:

Not too shabby. About 12/13 wraps (forgot to count). I used my Provari measure the ohms before I built the coil. The way I do it is I put the rba on the Provari, tighten one end of the kanthal in a post, put a kink in the wire, feed the other end of the wire through the other post, pulling the wire back and forth and testing until I see the resistance I want. Then I put a second kink in the wire, wrap it and test it one more time. I was aiming for 1.5-1.6, and what I ended up with after the build was:

Not too shabby
Coil testing was perfect. Like this:

Hmm... snapped that picture a little too soon. It burned bright orange -- a nice little bonfire.
Grabbed a Qtip, threaded som cotton through it and did a Mark Twain:

Cut them to fit. The left whisker longer than the right, touching the squonk-hole.
So, how was the vape???
Not bad, actually...... ARE YOU KIDDING IT IS FRIGGIN' FANTASTIC.
I just don't know how I'm going to stealth vape in the office. The plumes of vapor are so thick that I need a knife to cut through them.
I'm torn between the two. The Grand because it is self contained for all-day vaping, and the Mini because it's.... perfect. But it's a nice problem to have
A couple of comments:
1. People have mentioned rattling doors. My doors don't rattle. At all.
2. Blind squonking with the RM2 is easy. Excess fluid goes back in the bottle. I tested it by squonking, waiting 30 seconds, lying the Grand down on a piece of paper and spinning it (like spin the bottle). Not a drop spilled.
3. If you're one of those who'd like to build a coil, but it looks too difficult, all I can say is if I can do it anyone can. Read through the sticky that super_x made, and there it is.
4. The airhole business. For some reason mine line up at the top (top of the RM2 meaning that the Reo is nearly horizontal when you vapr, and you press the firing button with your thumb (sounds silly when written, but makes sense if you try it)).
5. As super_x and others have mentioned, play around with the height of the coil. It really makes a difference wrt TH.
6. Some feel that the airhole is too tight. Mine is nice and airy, no need to drill them out.
and finally:
Rob, seriously man, I can't begin to express how functionally elegant your Reos are. Thanks a mil for building them, selling them and supporting us. Some people can't help make the world a better place, you're one of them. Take a bow.
Gah--getting too sappy here, but you know what I mean
That's all she wrote, folks (for now).
