Vapers...I have failed you

Maybe not so, but I feel very disappointed. A while back my college passed a smoking ban on all of campus, with e-cigarettes up in the air at the time. Someone over at CASAA provided me with some information to give to my college and I gave it to a few higher-ups in hopes that they would have a logical policy towards e-cigs.
As far as I know I am the only vaper on campus (small-ish town) so I was alone in this.
Anyways, the tobacco ban includes e-cigarettes nevertheless. This actually includes inside your car in the parking lot!! I have been going crazy in the comments on the college's announcement on Facebook, trying to stop the utter **** people are saying.
Our local newspaper contacted me last night to do an interview because of the comments, saying I provided some very good and logical points, so I am going to eat this policy up. I will try to get in contact with the administration and talk to them face to face.

I feel especially bad because a new vape shop is opening up just down the street of campus and if vaping was allowed on campus I could see them getting a ton of business!! I just feel very aggravated right now.
Luckily, I personally planned ahead and am taking all online classes

You did not fail - chances are - they probably would have made that decision either way. Hopefully your materials at least got them to THINK about it, even for a second

You got out there and did something! That's a good thing Non smokers are on a crusade to make life difficult for smokers, and people attempting to quit. It's really gotten out of hand. People who've never been addicted to tobacco have no idea the struggle involved with quitting. They judge us as being stupid, and can't understand why we don't just stop. Keep plugging away at what you're doing. Thank you for getting out there and getting your voice heard.

Stealth vaping in the restroom can be your friend....
Also exhaling the vapor while sipping a hot cup of coffee, maybe....
Think of your grades, being the one not having a nic fit.

Of course sub-ohm vaping will be relegated to rock band concerts, standing next to the fog machine.

Agreed. OP failed nothing. I spent a little time at a local community college in 2012 and they banned smoking (before I vaped) because of the butts everywhere. THAT I had to agree with, it was disgusting. No mention of vaping at that school, yet.

This forum is awesome. I'm just aggravated at the illogical decision a learning institution made. I can totally understand cigarettes as butts litter our campus, despite the numerous amounts of ashtrays. There just isn't an argument to ban vaping outdoors!

You continue fighting for what you believe to be right. Hold your head up high.

Fighting for this may not work out for you. If one day you lose, so be it! You could say that you have lost, but even a defeat is not necessarily a failure.

By the way, you are not the only vaper on that campus. Find a way to find the others. They are out there. You are not alone.
