So, my community college has approved a ban on smoking on campus recently after most students spoke out against it, even non-smokers. Well, they are probably going to include the use of e-cigarettes since they know the FDA considers them a tobacco product.
This is particularly upsetting to me because on days I have class (monday-thursday) I am on campus from 11am-9pm.
I'm looking for studies on second hand vapor. I have already scraped the Casaa website, but I want to be armed to the teeth.
Please and thank you!

If you hit up CASAA you're probably pretty well-armed.

I wish you luck, kiddo! Keep spreading the word to your fellow students.

I do it in public at my college. Don't get me wrong, I am respectful when it comes to it as I follow the same guidelines of the analogs meaning I'll go away from a group of people because I don't want to draw anymore negative attention to it but I answer any questions people have. I do vape while I take a leak as well so I am killing two birds with one stone. Do what you feel is right there sir!

Well, administration is still deciding on whether to include vapes and what the punishment will be, so there is definitely hope! I think that it will be fairly easy to convince them since security has been on my side with vaping in our gazebo, where no smoking was allowed before.
What gets me is that we have a 20 foot away from any building policy and it is NEVER enforced. In fact, the ash trays are set out 5 feet away from the doors.

I go outside to vape but will stealth vape in the restroom so I'm pretty much follow the same rules as the smokers. I just don't want to role over while they are clumping cigarettes and vapes together, especially in a fairly small town like mine where the policy could really spread.

You're doing the right thing. IMO it's easier to stop vaping from being banned along with cigarettes than it is to reverse it later. Sorry I can't help you with more information than what CASAA has. I wish you the best of luck with this :thumb:

We had a campus wide smoking ban before vaping became popular, so it does not include vaping and I've never had an issue. My public speaking teacher allowed me to demonstrate vaping during a speech and sometimes other vapers and I will try each other's juice in the hall and no one says a word. I sincerely hope that you will be able to change their minds, particularly because it will encourage others to start vaping if they can continue to do it on campus.

For anyone that may be interested in how they might ban vapes along with the tobacco, on the third page is the article our school paper put out.
Despite Protest, the Smoking Ban Passes
TL;DR, the Board of Directors that voted on it is leaving it up to the Administration, along with punishment and some other technicalities.
