Embarrassing admission... I used a cig-alike for a year oblivious to what else was out there. The local tobacco shop sells Tececig batts and juice and so that's what I used. SOOO glad I did a little research and found this place as I was getting ready to back to 'logs. The cig-alikes are good for a while but they just didn't fill the void. So, please approach cig-alike users and maybe save someone from going back to 'logs.

A friend and I were sitting the car waiting around for something and this guy next to us got to his car and stood around smoking so he wouldn't stink up his car and it was freezing out. When he finished he got in and looked over so I waggled my vaping device at him and smiled. I just had to share that because I have yet to run in to another vaper but yes, depending on circumstances, I'm sure I'd waggle my device at them at the least. You know, like motorcycle people tip their head or raise their hand at another motorcyclist, even if it's a cop and your barely street legal? Well to everybody but like that

I would definitely say hi! I am always looking for vapers in the wild! Vaping is a great conversation starter.

When I'm out and I see someone with an awesome tattoo, I always stop to talk about it. People regularly talk to me about mine as well!

It's something in common, not everyone has one (pv OR tattoo, lol.) It's nice to know that other people find them acceptible, cool, etc.

Even with all the vape shops around here, I still have yet to see someone whip it out in public - away from theses shops.

...That's also is the reason I wouldn't walk up to someone puffing anything short of a box mod in the wild.

Before I was a vaper, a box mod would have looked much weirder to me than something that looks like a Sharpie pen.

Wasn't tigger the only one?

He thought he was the only one...

Another vaper!!!
What's your main set-up?
What do you think of Vivi Novas?
Have you tried RBAs?
Have you found an ADV? What's your handle on ECF?

I got mean-mugged and followed by a cop who saw me vaping on a blue eGo-C type B one time, but it didn't bother me too much since I have dreds. That also is the reason I wouldn't walk up to someone puffing anything short of a box mod in the wild.

im always weary of vaping while driving past a cop. i know they always look and i always fear they will pull me over for their misunderstanding. damn cops and their judgmental eyes!

I am not going to hide my PV. Not doing anything illegal and maybe a chance to educate the public on vapping...but don't see any Vapers around here. Showed my nephew my Ego yesterday- and the couple at the next table seemed interested, so I showed it to them too. The guy took down info on it, and MVS and I told him to check out ECF...so I hope Jerry from Bellows Falls joins us here too !

I've met a few. One was a Pizza Hut waitress, another was in a bar, and three others were students on campus. They were all using the pen-style lookalikes and didn't seem to know what to think when they saw mine. None of them were aware there were larger models, variable voltage, etc. I wanted to tell them about all the other stuff that's out there but was afraid I'd come off as some e-cig snob. I don't want to look like I'm bragging or trying to put them down for using the basics, you know?

I always make sure that I'm taking a big pull on my AcryliMax or Silver Bullet when I drive by a police car. And if I notice them eyeballing me in traffic, I'll nod my head and smile at them, right after I hit "record" on my smartphone's voice recording app...

You guys are right, it's totally legal so we shouldn't have to hide it, but if I have to get stopped by every cop in my town just to prove it's not, I'll never be on time for work again, get fired, and I won't be able to afford to vape! (much less eat, live, etc.)

The first time you are stopped, be nice. Explain to the cop what it is. Then file a formal complaint with his agency, and include in your complaint an info flyer from CASAA or something educational about e-cigs.

If you get stopped again, file another official complaint and let them know that if this continues, it will be a matter for the courts to decide, and you will be pursuing legal action.

If you get pulled over a third time, have a lawyer draft a letter saying that if this harassment continues, you will sue the Chief (or Sheriff, or whichever head LEO you are dealing with) and the officer under Federal Civil Rights Violation statutes (which means those LEOs are PERSONALLY responsible for any settlements the courts award you, and they lose their "qualified immunity", and the department can't pay the settlements out of insurance...)

The first option will get them off your back with most reasonable departments.

The second will get most mildly corrupt departments to stand down.

The third will get all but the most lawless departments to leave you alone.

If you live in Chicago, LA, NYC, Newark NJ, or Baltimore MD, you will probably have to take them to court, if they don't just kill you and leave your body in a ditch after the third complaint is filed....
