Hi guys,
Without much ado, lemme dive straight into the story so far..

Gave up smoking 30days ago..started with an Ego Type Ce4..graduated to a Vision Spinner 2 combined with same Ce4 clearomizer. Now uppping my game...planning on ordering an Aspire Mini Nautilus with a Istick30w( Mod is higher wattage, keeping in mind further upgradation if required!)
Ejuices ordered with this is SPACEJAM 50:50 VG/PG- in 6mg & 12 mg nic- diff flavors for variation.

My question is:

Is this the correct combo of gear for getting good thick smoke and satisfactory vapes?

Is the 50:50 ratio good enough for these coils or I need something better to help it wick & juice up appropriately.

Heard so many good & bad reviews for the Mini Nauti ..so kinda confused. Coils gunk up..Leaks, Spits, Gurgles ..etc ...

Whole set up is costing me quite a pretty penny here...Please help a newbie. All inputs/comments/any guidance/advice/suggestions most welcome & deeply appreciated .

Thank u guys..

Hello and welcome to the forum @Shiva' Regal. Glad to have you here!:)

I think you will love the iStick 30 w/a Mini Nautilus compared to what you are currently using. Watch the videos below and judge for yourself as to if it's enough vapor for you.

When I was vaping a Nautilus I used 50/50 juice as well. No problems wicking. See below for "priming" new coils.

  • All coils will eventual "gunk up". Dark colored, sweet, desert, tobacco flavors will gunk up the fastest.
  • I experienced no leaking. Gurgling is often a sign that you are running at too low a wattage. Anything above 10 watts and you should be fine. I usually ran mine around 15 watts w/airflow wide open.
Priming Cotton Coils

The Nautilus Mini uses cotton as a wick. All cotton coils have to be "primed" well with juice. If they are not primed well the cotton will burn. Once the cotton is burned the burned taste won't go away.

To prime the coil, drop 5-8 drops of juice right inside the coil, another drop of juice in all the holes on the side of the coil. Put the coil in the base, fill the tank and screw the base back onto the tank. Once you put the tank on the battery give it several unpowered primer puffs. This will make sure the wick is fully saturated.

Turn you voltage/wattage down, take a few hits, bump it up, couple more hits. Repeat until you find your "sweet spot". If your vape starts to taste burnt, dial it back down.

Welcome! Congrats on 30 Days of no ciggs  ^^^ Listen to Susan on this one............... Another popular option is the Kangertech subox mini kit......... As for the vg/pg ratio of your juices, you mentioned about wanting thick cloud production. If that's the case, I would personally go to a higher VG juice such as 70%VG or 80% VG...... But only if you want a thicker type vapor..... If you are desiring a thinner vapor with a more harsh and strong throat hit and nose tickle then the juice you are using should work.

Thanks for your reply Axiom. Appreciate it. You know, it's rather difficult to judge all these liquids without vaping on them to get a sense of which ratio of PG/VG will one like. Unlike other parts of the world, where there are Vaping Sample counters & Bars...India as such boasts of nil/nada in a 100:100 ratio! LOL! So I guess...it's gonna be an interesting journey ahead of me trying various kinda combos of juices and ratios. As of now...SpaceJam has caught my fancy, simply coz of the way the IndoorSmoker guy on Youtube raves about it! I hope it's as good as he makes it out to be! Will keep you all posted!

You don't have to subΩ even though the 30 watt will allow you to.

The reason we recommend the 30 watt (vs the 20 watt) is room for growth should you wish to get into subΩing AND the iStick 20watt has a few problems regarding chrome plated threading (which can strip over time) and some problems with the chip. All of these issues were addressed in the iStick 30 watt.

Bottom line: If you like the iStick, get the 30 watt.:)

    Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subΩing cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

    06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
    12 mg = 20 cigarettes
    18 mg = 30 cigarettes
    24 mg = 40 cigarettes

I would get a 10ml of 80%vg/20%pg and a 10ml of 70%vg/30%pg. The 80/20 should work fine unless you chain vape. More vg = more clouds, more pg = more throat hit. You can try both bottles out and see how well they wick. Also I would go with a mod that supports at least 50 watts.
hey JefeSpeed1..thanks for writing in...like i said...it's very hard to get good juices in India, especially with a variation in ratio levels...so will have to start with 50:50 as of right now & see how it pans out. A 50W Mod is gonna be burning a hole in my pockets man..wish I was Sultan of Brunei...as of right now..am pretty much just a Bedouin of Cashless Tradewinds & sailing in the Coldest of Doldrums! :(
